Hi, hope everyone is well. Just having some herbal tea after cooking 2 fries - one for hubby and one for daughter. Have to go out at some stage today to get a birthday present and card for eldest - he will be 39 on Monday. Tomorrow there will be a farewell service in our church for a missionary family returning to Mozambique after 9 months on furlough. We had a fashion show, run by the charity shop which they set up and where I volunteer, and an auction last Saturday to raise funds for the Helping Hands Project which they run and which provides wheelchairs for disabled people in Mozambique. It was good fun and we raised a lot of money.

Hi everyone! It's been very rough 9 months for me. I regret that I have been away, but, I hope to be a regular again. My spouse and I are working towards rebuilding our marriage. I still fear he will leave someday, but, I am more focused my own survival at this point. My son is getting getting worse physically and mentally. I feel like my world has fallen apart and I feel very isolated.
I think coming back in here will be a step in the right direction. Tonight, I am reconnecting with a therapy group that will help too.

It was so good to come in here and see some familiar faces! I met with the therapy group last night which was really good. We met for about 1 1/2 hours. I feel better. Son and I went to see breakfast and went to see Godzilla! That is one vicious yet benevolent lizard! LOL!
Got a text that husband is on his way home. I wasn't really expecting him to be home until tomorrow. I think I will make a nice meal for the two of us.
Oh yes, I went into the Sunday online Chapel. That was really neat too! I think that's new, isn't it?

Stranded Saturday for me.
My driver is going to his niece's birthday party today. She, my granddaughter, turned 18 last Saturday, but we were doing a wedding last week. So her games party is this afternoon and going through the night.
Strategy board games.
I am not allowed to drive until 4 weeks from the surgery. So 28 days from July 1.
I go for morning walks. 1/2 mile only gets me as far as the school bus stop. Another 1/4 mile to work, which I was just given the go ahead to do, but I would have to walk there first, then rest before I can do anything.
If I needed to pick up cat food, we are talking an additional 6 miles to the nearest store.
Next week, I drive again.

Glad that you are recovering well. Pray that you will soon be back to the normal routine, but it takes time in recovery and needed rest.

Working in apartment, cleaning, going through papers and things, throwing stuff away. Continuing in seeking employment; planning to go to some places tomorrow about jobs. Try to keep busy; like to be doing things and keeping active. Need to exercise more; where I live there are sidewalks, and should get out and do more walking this summer.

Had storms last night and part of today; has been a tornado watch till 8 tonight. Weather has been good this afternoon and evening. Some counties in east and southeast of the state have had some tornado warnings. It should clear out of the state soon. Weather is forecasted to be cooler temps. this week in the 70's during the daytime.

Since I am trying to get to know people, I guess I should share my daily happenings.
Today I am filled with anticipation. I can drive tomorrow, but I am erring on the side of caution and waiting till Wednesday.
I thought of another problem to tackle though. Grocery shopping. I may be allowed to go by myself, but I'm not allowed to pick up anything weighing more than 10 lbs.
Two items per bag.

Yes, it is good to be careful and do a little at a time, rather than trying to do too much. Hope a family member can help out at times. Have a good week!
