Hi everyone! Son and I went for a weekend away in the mountains! Yay! We rode horses for an hour, wnt had lunch, went back for another two and half hours! I was sore that time! I had a rough week, thought this would brighten things some. Took son yo hospital with chest pains on Monday, disability hearing on Tuesday and back to the hospital on Tuesday for an injection. The tests taken for the chest pains were normal, which is good, I think it was anxiety. Anyway, we had fun getting away this weekend. Going to mass this morning and then to get a hot chocolate at a shops we like in te area and back home.

I love horseback riding, I use to help teach it.

I have bad anxiety, it sure can give you chest pains and irregular heart beats, I know, I have both.

My dear mom and I use to get hot chocolate after mass, I sure do miss those days.

Glad you had a nice time.

Hello!

I have a question about the Dream/Vision thread....wondering if maybe someone can help me with this.

I have looked around the forum but can't seem to find the answer.

I would like to post on the Dreams/Vision thread and maybe reply and have some replies. But, I can't do either. Should I contact an administrator or does it have something to do with my profile, ie: not enough posts, not on the forum long enough.

Thanks!

Hi Golden Eagles
I am back after a time of spiritual renewal, caring for grandkids over the Summer, and tending to my health screenings (and Hubby's).
All is well with us; we have had our trials but also many blessings for ehich we are so grateful.
I pray all is well with you also.
You have been in my thoughts and prayers.
God bless you

Your avatar sure is pretty.
Thanks :)

It reflects the contemplative spirit I am.
It is also a painting of my favorite saint (and namesake)...St Therese of Lisieux.
My Grandmother gave me the middle name of Therese after her.

Your avatar is very pretty too; looking good there girl

Hello everyone,

Hope you've had a good Sunday. We ended up with the whole family being here as our daughter has been with us for the weekend and the eldest member of the family came to visit us and stayed for dinner.

Three of us got out to church this morning - a good service and an excellent sermon - about Jesus talking to Nicodemus about the serpent in the wilderness and how we just need to look to Jesus for salvation. He was appealing very much to unbelievers but it was a blessing to all of us. At the start of the Communion service he read from the story of Charles Haddon Spurgeon, famous English preacher from the 19th century, who was converted by a simple, uneducated preacher telling people to 'just look'.

Sadly we didn't make it this evening, but I reckoned on this occasion that being with family was more important than rushing out to a service at 6.30

Blessings,

Gillian

Yes, that was a very nice day, Susie. We don't often have our eldest visiting.

Our daughter has now moved back home until she finds somewhere for her and her younger brothers to rent. She has brought back an awful lot of stuff, so we're kind of chocablock here lol. We have done several runs to her apartment and still haven't got it all moved.

Have a great day everyone!

I sure can remember those days of moving back home, mercy, it always seemed like I had more than when I moved out the first time. It can be stressful, she is lucky to have you folks, I sure do miss mine.

Hello again Susie and everyone else. It's a dismal grey day here - one of those not so bright October days. Hubby and I have been busy this morning tidying our living room as we are expecting visitors this afternoon - our youngest son's social worker and also his employment support worker are coming for a review. Before that I have to take id down to the local council offices to prove that I am old enough to qualify for no fee for a licence for our dog.

Not getting very far with our daughter's boxes and bags or with finding somewhere for her and her brothers to live - life in general is just so busy - but we need to find space for all the things that are filling up the motorhome as hubby is taking that away next weekend. Storage unit across the way is nearly full.

Blessings to all!

Hi friends,

It has been an interesting Sunday, it actually started yesterday with this email, here it is:

Mrs. P's Devotional for Today:
Recovery

You are entering a season of recovery a time when you will have opportunities to recover all that has been lost. You must not dwell on your losses, but have faith in this new beginning. For, I tell you honestly, that what is done is done; what is past is past. You can do nothing to change what has been; you can make the most of the days ahead by allowing My Spirit to be your Guide, says the Lord. Put your trust in Me.

John 10:10 "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."

Well, as a lot of folk know, I am constantly dwelling on the past, wanting to change things even though I know I can't, and worried sick over the future, such as finances, etc. Well, I got the above message yesterday, then today, in church, after the sermon, the speaker asked for anyone that wanted prayer to come forward and he and his wife would pray for each one individually. Well, I told them how I feel like I have no faith anymore and that I am not close to God like I use to be, that I was homesick, etc. I also told them how I have such bad pain in my neck in back. So, they first laid hands on my neck and bad and prayed for those to be healed, then we talked about my spiritual issues. I mean, the man and his wife were hitting the nail on the head big time, and she even said almost the same thing that the message had said that I posted. She said I can no longer live in the past, it is finished, that when I hold on to it, I can not hold on to the future and that is what God wants. She said that God has never left me and neither has the Holy Spirit, she said I am under attack and when this happens to pray all the more, listen to uplifting music, see the beauty here, etc. She said this is now my home, and the folks here are my friends and want to be my friends. Then, she and her husband prayed over the homesickness and for the devil to release me so I can have my joy back, the prayers were so powerful. Wow, I left feeling better and now, I am feeling terrific. I mean, if the Lord has not spoken to me through the email message and Russell and Heather (the speaker and his wife who prayed over me) I don't know who has. It is like a miracle. All this has happened at a time when I have felt my lowest, I mean to tell you, the last two days had been so rough, and now this wonderful event, Praise the Lord.:amen::clap::amen: God truly IS good.
