We thank you for your prayers, Susie Sis'
Mary is making 'forward-progress' ie: positively

Initial anxieties, have [certainly] taken a place in history
which is, remarkably obvious ~to all who know her
She has 'lost' most of her hair from her head
~with just a thin coating remaining [no bald patches as-yet]

Today, she left the house to attend some social thing she does
and to my surprise [ie: with hindsight]
I did not ask-her, 'Where ? she was going'
Not! that I was in any way, 'disinterested'
but, in respect, of the fact that this lady
was independant for 14 years BEFORE we met
and, is self-determinate
She gave me a kiss [before leaving] and told me "I love you and I will see you later"
and 'that' was her 'last words' to me, this afternoon

To my mind, Mary is
making her way, back, to her old-self... albeit it, presently
she is [still] a shadow, of her former physical-being [a bag of bones]
Her personality, has returned 'strongly'
and her confidence, along with it :)

Yes, it IS, what we have 'inside' that truly-matters... our bodies, will suffice us
for he duration of our stay here \o/

Yes, prayers really do count and His grace, makes a huge difference to our lives :amen:

Hi Gail Sis'

"David" has begun budding [out-there, in the front garden]

The Bramley Apple has begun sprouting leaves and blossoms will open soon
The Cherry Tree is leafing well
The Rhubarb has taken and leaves are strengthening
The eating apple is showing no-signs of life.... We will give it another two weeks
and will then return it to the supplier, as a dead-loss and seek a refund

The lawns need attention [mowing /strimming] ... I may start them tomorrow :)

Have a wonderful weekend

Wow..nice
We don't usually plant until the end of May because of the risk of frost and the occasional Spring snowstorm.

:)

Thank you Gail Sis'

I believe the risk of frost is past [for this area]
being on the side of the Irwell valley and with the Pennines, to the east and north, of us
we are fairly well protected

I got the rear lawn cut [with strimmer] a few days ago
for it's having grown so long [tall]and, in a couple of weeks
we will use the mower for the remainder of the growing season

Inclement weather appears [nowadays] to 'turn-up' unannounced [don't you think so ?]

:D

I'm off to bed now, it has been a long day at the hospital

Hi all,

Dave, is everything OK? I noticed you said you spent the day at the hospital, is Mary OK?

Well, Fall is in full swing here, very cold, trees loosing leaves, and raining, winter is not far off. LOL, man, Easter is SPRING, as far as I am concerned, I do not like this.

Hugs to all

Just stopping by to say "hi". Hope all is going well with everyone. Looks like things are kind of slow here.

Dave, hope Mary is doing well, I have been praying for you both.

Hi All,

Hope everyone is well and coping with whatever life is sending your way right now. It's a nice sunny day here so far.

We had a busy day yesterday at our church - at lunch time we had our monthly senior citizens' lunch and last night we had the second of our Walk for Life sessions. We didn't have as many at the lunch as at previous times, but one lady was convicted that she needed to get back on the straight and narrow, so we're praising God for that. We had 57 visitors at the Walk for Life, which was more than last week.

Today David has gone to motorbike races in the north west of the country, to help with communications for first aid. I'm just doing the usual routine kind of stuff.

Have a blessed day!

Gillian

Hi everyone.

Been thinking of you folks and missing you.

I have been so busy. I am going back home in July, wow, what a hassle, getting my two dogs back is not going to be easy, and wow, the prices, talk about stress. I am not sure when or if I will return to New Zealand, things have not been good as most of you know. If I do come back, getting my pups back in to NZ is worse than getting them out, so many tests, etc, plus, they need to be in quarantine for 10 days once they get here. UGH. Since my Uncle died, my aunt has been alone, she needs someone with her, at least for a while, his family sure is not treating her very nicely. We have always been pretty close, she is looking forward to my coming. I am going to take it a day at a time and leave it in the Lord's hands as to what to do later. Right now, I am just going to enjoy my visit when I get there. I will have my lap top, so I can still come here and email, etc. She does not have a computer, so, I am going to help her look for a nice lap top.

It is really cold here today, but sunny, it is still hard for me saying that May is Autumn, LOL, seems weird. Oh well, it is still pretty.

Hope everyone is doing well. Hugs to all.
