You're not alone in this...and it will all work out; it has been interesting to learn about the new format/codes etc..
We're never too old to learn

Sorry, but I don't like the new format very much. I tried the link to make it go back to the old system, but it didn't make any difference. I discovered that the link from a notification email to a reply on the forums doesn't work. An error message just comes up, saying the page could not be found.

There is a style chooser at the bottom of the page Modern Christian Forums
or you can change it through your preferences [user panel/preferences/browsing preferences].

If you have trouble adjusting it, post in Second Style Is Live or Tech Help Desk and the Tech Admin will assist you

I managed to get the original style to show. I didn't notice the old format particularly dull. What I now have a problem with is linking from older, before the change, email notifications to the thread the notification is about. When I click on the link it just takes me to an error page. I'll mention this on the Tech. Help Desk as well.

Oh beautiful pictures Dave, just what the doctor ordered my blood pressure was very high 189/92 so nurse sent me home with a BP kit to monitor myself for the week, those lovely pictures relax and calm me looked at them for a while. Better than any tranquiliser, is the vine your own home grown? Are these photo's all from your garden. If so you are a good gardener.

I used to have a large garden I didn't know anything about gardening, my next door neighbour a lovely lady helped me. I learned a lot from her and she gave me a lot of cuttings and also used to dig up bits of her plants and replant them in mine and they took really well, I had loads of lavender the smell was wonderful and also honeysuckle, and jasmine.

I would sit in the garden taking in all the lovely aroma, I now have a very small garden with a little honeysuckle in the corner and a jasmine plant in a pot. Hoping it will grow well.

Are the roses scented, some roses don't have any scent.

Yes, I have a similar experience, that has endured within me these past, several months
[raised BP] so the doc gave me Adalat (again) to help out my Ramipril [max' dose]
I found out [accidentally/ quite by chance] that these slow-release tablets, are passing-through [unreleased]
ergo; the reason for my BP's remaining "a little high" (enteric coated)

All these photos are 'mine' from our garden :yes:

The vine, is actually 'redcurrant canes'
We have been awaiting a few consecutive days, of Spring Sunshine
and have had to await the Summer Rains....
I have been out-there nonetheless, and renovation is 'in progress' albeit 'off-camera' (for now)

All of our roses have a scent, (perfume) about them, save for, the 'Dog Rose'

I water 'from the bottom' avoiding leaves (all potted plants)
and, may mist spray the leaves after sundown, in very dry weather

God is my gardener, ~if it doesn't flourish, it doesn't belong
I do what I can to help.... weeding, deadheading, feeding, and generally 'keeping it tidy'
Our blessings 'we-share'

Hi Dave,

I presume you are referring to the habit of many Americans of keeping a gun in their homes for self-defence purposes. I don't think that's a good idea at all. However, I am pretty sure many Christians do own guns - they use them for target shooting. My husband is one of them and he keeps his licensed gun under lock and key. It's a sport he has enjoyed since school days.

I love the pictures of your flowers as well. I think the Lord has given you green fingers. I actually thought what you said were redcurrants were gooseberries, but then gooseberries grow on bushes.

Hi Debbie, nice to see you. Could I give both of you a tip about high blood pressure, which I also have? Eat plenty of fruit and veg - 5 of each per day - and cut out the rubbish.

Greetings to everyone else. Hope you're not melting in this warm weather if you're in the UK. Hubby and I went out for a Chinese lunch today - a different venue to our usual and the choice wasn't as good and dessert wasn't included, so I'm not sure I want to eat there again.
