Yes, the south of England, is having MORE THAN a fair share of, H2O
I have often wondered
'why' ?
~in these days, of water-shortages, they have not
dredged the rivers and streams that feed them
to enable them to carry more water away
'why' ?
they have not set up WATER MEADOWS, in the lower-lying areas
to ADD, to our dwindling arable land 'stock'
'why' ?
they haven't constructed 'reservoirs' to conserve more fresh-water
I know full well, that at times of full tides
excess run off will not get away to the sea
Therefore, I see sense
in containing the excess if, for no other-reason than to prevent
water-suppliers, extracting from sewerage contaminated water-courses

I have wondered too why the UK isn't doing more for the flooding there too....but maybe this is a recent weather problem.
We in So Cal have been funneling water from No Cal for years....everyone had water when we got the regular rains and snow packs.
