It is a new year....sooooo, I have spent time reorganizing some clutter spots....throwing things out. Yeah!

I am tired, but ok....

Just to still be alive is a wonder to me...

Mary has been doing some of that
It is almost always difficult to choose WHAT TO THROW
from the piles of treasure accumulated over a lengthy lifetime

I agree, re: the marvel of, STILL BEING ALIVE
and all those things that we have enjoyed
and might have 'missed-out-on', had we passed-on years ago

There has-to-be 'a reason, for' such longevity

I am grateful for my every day

We have regularly gone through and sorted our stash and thrown things out or given them away. WE are not collectors...LOL or hoarders.

But it does feel odd to be getting older, thanks Dave for reminding me He has a purpose for even my simple life. I see so many now that never made it to their 40's. It is weird to see my kids getting older too.
I do see the glory of this happening...tho my outer man is decaying...my inner man is constantly being renewed in Christ. He gets bigger and bigger.

My best friend, and closer to me than either of my sibling brothers 'REDVERS SELWYN RIGNEY'
was only 34 years
My sibling [youngest brother] 'Paul',
who was four years my junior, has gone on
My Dad was just 66 years and my Mother, only 62 years

They did, for sure
influence my life in ways I could not [at the time] appreciate fully
however, time-matured 'wisdom', will connect 'them'
with a current matter, in a remarkably poignant way
such that we can thank them for their presence in our lives
for their 'redirection' upon our impulsive spirit, enabling settlement
that upholds the conscience and gives, freedom from regret

Our lessons may not be recognized as such
but, their impact,
is effectively life-changing and ALWAYS 'positively-so'

Lord, make me a good student and scholar

Good monday to all....I had a very long day yesterday....got up at 2am....I love reading and praying during the night...but it throws me off sleep wise...I will be resting all day today; The Packers lost their game yesterday....so my best team is out for this season....o well.....keep smiling.

Hi Dave...how are you and Mary doing?

Hi Shirley Sis'

We are getting on with 'living'
Yesterday, we removed all of the Christmas decorations
and made a start, at the job of 'storing them away' _until the next anniversary

Today, is likely to be one of CLEANING UP
~the scattered tinsel and sparkle and worst of all ~the remains, of double-sided tape
ie, scrape with a blade and dissolve the gum with white spirit


Mary has 'gone shopping', for, a neighbour of our's
[who is not so agile on her feet]
bless her!
Most of the family are now wise, to Mary's 'condition'
not an easy situation for those that visit her less regularly [to deal with]

Mary is [thank you Lord] not, despairing nor is she wallowing in the depths self-pity
she is, [as we say here] "Up and AT-Em" iow: keeping-going, as normally as she can

We are watching her weight [recently, 'dropped' to 6 stones again / 84lbs]
We joked [yesterday] as I lifted her down from a chair she had climbed upon
"I will have no-trouble 'lifting you' in and out of the bath and carrying you to bed"

She smiled and hugged me

We are in good spirits, or, perhaps better-said: ~good spirits are in us

It feels good to be back on a normal schedule of activities; routine is always comforting
