I am fine now; getting stronger every day
Get your rest and enjoy your family!

We have just returned from the hospital
where, staff said they got some really nice 'shots' of Mary's insides

More waiting... we think until Mid-January [at the Christie's hospital]
Mary's special food supplements haven't arrived at the Pharmacy yet
with Christmas Eve tomorrow, she may have-to wait
until, after the 'Christmas Break' [~27th]

Be blessed everyone

Can you try over the counter protein shakes for Mary...maybe she can keep them down...at least they provide some nutrition...we have them here in every grocery store and drugstore.

Yes Shirley Sis', we have [purchased some, of those]... @£3+ per pack /$4.50
Mary was given, four packs, of samples, by a doctor at the hospital

The prescription provides them 'FREE OF CHARGE' _which, of itself, is a blessing

Mary's son 'Andrew' visited today, he brought with him, a stew
that he had reduced, with use of a food-processor
Mary reheated it in the microwave and found, that it was tasty [appetising]
and, passed through without problem

They are 'passing-on' this food processor, having purchased a newer model
We have no doubt, that we will make good use of it

Fish and chips, pie and chips, sausage, egg and beans ~will never look the same again :)
BUT... the brain will know what it is eating

Thank you Andrew and Patricia

We got creative with our son years ago when he had his jaws wired shut...made all kinds of liquified foods for him. He had broken jaws from being hit in the face by a car while he was riding a bicycle.

Yes, those shakes are expensive, for us too.

That... and you also mentioned some foods never looking the same (some can look rather nasty mushed up)
If she can ignore that, she'll be good

Hi Gail Sis'

To encourage her, I have told her, that astronauts [space station]
eat their foods from tubes [~like: toothpaste tubes]
Mary says, 'if they can do it, then so can I' :D

We had Christmas Dinner, at 'Andrews' last evening @ 6.30pm
and have just arrived home @4.00 am
Mary's roast dinner, was individual piles of 'mush'
and she did well....

We took possession of the now redundant food-processor
after Andrew took me through the chopping and liquidising processes
and then we played many quiz games via a playstation

The return journey, was along quiet roads where I saw only 5 other vehicles
ALL, were taxis

I am just now having, a cup of lemon-tea and then, we are off to bed
I cannot see us getting-up too early :)

Have a good night

God bless you

your Bro'

Wow; I can't imagine getting in at 4am  You too have more stamina then we do ;)
I am so happy you had a nice time; Mary seems to be managing well in mind and body(PTL)...be sure to rest up today

Our family came at noon and left around 7 pm.
Jim made a lovely turkey dinner with homemade french bread.
My daughter and sister brought desserts, and our son brought a holiday pudding, and cooked a green bean casserole :yum:

They all made sure I took it easy during the day, and jumped in to set the food out and clean the table, while I packed up the leftovers, and directed placement of food in the fridge and washed dishes in the cupboards (while staying seated).

The whole day was a blessing; I slept well the night before, was only mildly fatigued while entertaining, and slept soundly again last night.
Today we are just relaxing; it is a pretty day with snow softly falling. :)

Blessings to you, Mary, and all Golden Eagles

We do it... one step at a time ;)

Cossetted by the warmth of the heater in the car [on return-journey]
Mary said: " I am hair-laquered " [~ knackered / bushed] :D

It was 5pm as we got into bed and Mary was quickly off to sleep

It was a 'mountain' of a meal, [for me]
and, so well enjoyed, I left, only a forkful of 'greens' and some gravy on my plate
Chicken, Turkey Yorkshire Puddings [batter] roast veggies mashed and baked potatoes
I also had a glass of Cava, with my meal followed by a total of four cups of black coffee
AND, some gateau around an hour later :)

 I do not 'drink and drive'

Pat [Andrew's wife] was also visited by her two brothers and her sister [later on]
and the night was one of FAMILY enjoying each other's company
plus: those quiz games we played :D

I sleep well EVERY NIGHT!!! [since my divorce all those years ago!!! :D ]

No snow here [yet] although I am sure we got down to -3.C overnight, last-night

I am presently, 'pre-cooking' a Turkey leg-roast [from frozen]
in preparation for Mary's return from her daughters and will
in a couple of hours, begin, preparing the veggies
before, I head off to pick her up

Ecclesiastes 3 (NIV)

Have a comfortable and happy holiday

God bless you all

I love reading your posts...Christmas with families is so nice. We also enjoyed ours...it was quietly wonderful for all of us.
We are safely home after traveling 6 hours on the freeway....mostly at 70 miles per hour. We are pretty tired too...Gracie was not at peace last night, had me awake a lot...she is so glad to be in her own home again.

I will be resting...washing, putting things away...Saturday I return to the airport to pick up Lori...that will be at mid day here...not 4am. LOL

LOL

Then you can believe, that it is not 'something' that we make a habit of :)

Mary makes sure I am in bed >>
BEFORE 3am !!!!!
"and I don't mean '5 minutes to the hour"
"or you sleep in the spare-room"

She doesn't like being disturbed_ after, getting off to sleep

I do TRY
to keep the 'peace' but, I am no-stranger to that single bed ;)

Hi Shirley
Glad you had a nice time!

We relaxed today, and to my surprise I was not totally wiped out from yesterday, but actually felt like 'myself' (just a wee bit tired).
