Update:

This morning's 'meeting' with Housing and Environmental Rep's _concluded with
# Firm promises, that two trees will be completely removed within two weeks
# Shrubbery beside the car-park and guineal, will be 'reduced'... to hip height
# Litter in the area, will be removed next week, by the Payback Team
['community-service' sentence servers]

The local 'BROWNIES' will earn environmental protection badges
this Saturday as they [as a group] will pick (and bag) litter in this area

I did caution [the pair] regarding used hypodermic needles and syringes
having been found in shrubbery and, I was reassured that they would not
be 'handling' the litter but would instead be issued 'grabbers'
and would in any case be overseen by adults

We 'walked' the entire block [within my Home Watch Area]
where I was assured that all shrubbery would be reduced in height
to the height of existing fencing, and so publicly exposing gardens of properties
so that all properties could be overlooked by neighbors
and villains 'at-work' would no-longer, be concealed by them

This will be a blessing to many...a neighborhood effort for good.

If, my 'input'... can bring about, a positive effect, 'locally'
then, I will consider, those efforts, to be worthwhile

When, I was 'nominated' as 'coordinator'
and, my deputy [John] was appointed, from a nearby street
I was [sort of] 'stunned', for reason that I am easily
[by, far and away] the youngest of the neighborhood [?]

I quickly gathered, my scattered wits and decided, to apply-myself [on everyone's behalf]

I am beginning to see, the formation, of this tenants/residents association
as a cost-effective 'tool', for the local authority
[Unpaid Assistance and a FREE SOURCE of local information and feeling]

Some of you are enjoying nature that looks like this...:)

Yes, soon, I will be posting photos of my locality, as it becomes like this picture

Fall is underway with 'some' yellowing of leaves on the trees and bushes
and some many have fallen, with much, much more, to do so

Thank you Norah Sis'

I wonder, if it might, simply be 'oversight'
not, that we would accuse ourselves of sloth ;)
or, perhaps, even, of our having too-many irons in the fire [?]
Where, one step [thing] at a time, would possibly, amount to, a more-thorough 'practise'
[:D practice- = name/title & ... practise- being the verb /the doing]

:D
There is of course the practical advantage, that of, more regular visits :roflovl:

Hi Dave....I really like the stuffed turkey dinners, probably because we don't have them often, they are a lot of work.

We have had a lovely day here...ate breakfast out, then stopped at Trader Joe's...stocked up on favorites from there.

The weather is pleasant, I walked Gracie right in the middle of the afternoon. Tomorrow is church. I have small errands to do early in the week, then nothing else is planned.

Blessings to all.

Hi Shirley

I got the car started this morning
and took Mary and her friend 'May' into the further suburbs
to a 'particular' supermarket
They were looking for a special item
being advertised on TV as; BUY TWO for 'x' amount [a saving of 75c each LOL]
Both stores we visited, were 'sold out'
and awaiting the arrival of further supplies

The remainder of the day passed very quietly
although I did put the heating on for a couple of hours [earlier]
because we feel Winter, is creeping closer :cold:

:D

Have a good night Sis'
I'll be off to bed very-shortly

God bless you and your's

dave

ETA:

They could.... have bought those very same things ~just across the road [here]
and, I could, have saved more [fuel cost]
than they would have 'saved' ~had they found those items in-store

:p

Well...we ladies sometimes get weird when it comes to getting those so called bargains...as for gas, I really count the cost for travel expenses now...it does make a difference, and I travel way less to my health food store as it is farthest away, I make that visit fit in with other needs and stores to make the trip worth while.

I spend a lot of time at church on Sundays, almost 4 hours...I do like the liturgical service...very hard to find one anymore. So I am tired on Sundays...it is a long day for me, but a good one.
I have met some friendly people, but have not made a real friend...real friends are rare.
Happy new week everyone.

I don't [not really] mind, waiting on the 'ladies'
despite, their 'shopping tactics' being so very-different, to my own
~when, I go shopping.... it is with 'specific-intent' [?]
Theirs seems so very haphazard
I have a >mental list< of needed items AND, I search for those [only]
the exception, would be; an item, that I foresee, we would soon have a use for
[something, that is becoming short /running low and would need topping-up, very soon]

The ladies [it seems] await inspiration, as they 'trawl' the gondolas and shelving ;) :D
and [suddenly] make beelines for items they saw up to twenty minutes previously
[as-if, the light had suddenly come on, for, some 'need'] :D :D

I do apologize, if the above comment sounds sexist [?], my heart truly isn't so inclined

I just mentioned my view of this 'difference'
that I have noted [so-often] iow: it seems that I can go into a shop, buy
and then come-away again, while the women [around me]
tend to 'ponder' much more and maybe also, they find 'choice'
a somewhat difficult preoccupation  Just saying
:D

I agree re: fuel cost, making any travelling into a well-considered and 'planned event'
especially, for it's effect upon future travel needs, in the days ahead

I feel 'g r e a t', when I meet someone, that I 'sense' has similar feelings [outlook] to myself
These, are immensely 'easier to befriend'

Loud and assertive persons, seem to lack any humility and gentleness
and do not exude peace and /or, any comforting feeling

I hope your week ahead is a blessing to you and your's, Shirley Sis'

your Bro'

dave

Dave, I'm not a shopper as I...er...tend to be frugal and only buy what is on my mental list, sometimes write an actual list which usually only consists of two or three items. I do admit, however, on some weak moments (not many) I will stand by the potato chip aisle and try to talk myself out of buying the barbecue ones. It doesn't always work but I do try.:)

My beloved husband is the Chef around here and SO amazingly good at it, so he's also taken over grocery shopping and organizing his kitchen. I'm only allowed to now make certain dishes which I'm good at (I add very humbly) and he checks to see that every pot/pan used goes back in it's place!^_^ He's been such a Great example to me that I've become better with more organization.:)

LOVE the images, and I LOVE Monday, too, since we're both retired now.:)

 Hi Luba

Oh wow! the kind of man that women love to have-around

Yes, I am sure that I only notice this 'difference' because it feels so-alien [to me]
to imagine myself, being, in a similar condition [of 'disorganization']
It must be very frustrating for them  ~to be so 'non-plussed' in such tasks

It is good, when two people 'come-together'
and are able to fill-in for the other's shortcomings ;)
It sure helps to make the world go-around :)

Dave, you described some basic differences between the sexes....neither one is right or wrong...we are just different...my hubby is a lot like you and I prefer not to shop with him...LOL.

Today has been quiet for me...got the dog to the vet for her monthly shot...read some at home...took a nap...fixed a light dinner...Tomorrow will be busier.
