LOL you hit the nail on the head

Shirley said she prefers her pc....and I can understand that!
I enjoy mine much more than my hubby's...which doesn't have all my bookmarks etc
It can feel so much like work using it, and can get very tiring

I am ANOTHER 'USER' in this computer

I have all my tabs /favourites quite 'seperate' from Mary's Setup

My pics LOCAL
exist upon an external 1Tb Harddrive [requires USB connection when needed]
and also, via photobucket / skydrive /facebook

Were it not for Mary's need [to be here]
My friends would not see any difference between my previous posting [rate] and today

One way or another.... I am taking one step at a time

I do the same thing....separate user, use photobucket etc, but my bookmarks can change daily
and I use his laptop so seldom I don't bother transferring files.
I do have a basic set up I can get by on.....but just prefer my desk top

I HAVE, 'added' Paint.NET, that we both can use to prepare/edit photos
otherwise, my 'footprint' on Mary's harddrive is minimally sized

It sure would be cool to have my own desktop again

This seat, is hardly getting an opportunity to cool down

Good to see everyone here. Everything is status quo here, except that my glasses broke yesterday, leaving me to make due with an old, plastic pair that my insurance bought. The pair that I wear I paid for myself; they are high density glass, thus smaller. I have extremely poor vision, so glasses are of highest importance. I must wait two weeks for an appointment, but I was referred to a place that can repair them for 30 bucks. I'll still need to buy some new ones asap.

The weather is finally moderating a bit, but spring is welcomed any time it decides to show up. I'm hoping to get my hair cut tomorrow, but it depends on whether my aide can use her house mates car. I can't get into her truck. Short hair is a pain to maintain, however mine is so thin and patchy (genetics, sadly) that it's the best alternative. Yet, I won't have a boyish cut...just not my way. Most people take hair for granted; for those of us women with issues, it's really a source of frustration and embarrassment.

God bless you all with a fulfilling week. I hope Shirley gets her PC fixed soon.

Cool! Try photoshop as well...it is not that complicated and proves to have much more control over your pics.
I tend to use photo filtre and paint;mostly for resizing and creating frames
(I am no pro at fixing/enhancing pics )

Hi Marsha
Ugh...too bad about your glasses; I feel for you as I am blind as a bat without mine too!

My mother had severe issues with balding and my sister is now starting at age 50.
Both of them GLUED their hair (and I mean GLUED) DAILY; it would stand up in hurricane force winds!
My mother would go to a hairdresser once a week for a shampoo and styling, and during the week would spray it every day....adding layer upon layer of laquer.
They were also both nervous wrecks, so I figured their baldness was caused by stress and KILLING (smothering) their hair.

I use a teeny bit daily to set my style after drying it, but once it wears off I don't reapply, and it gets a fresh wash daily.....no problems with my head so far

I had long hair until 10 years ago, then went short until last spring when I began growing it out again.
I agree that short hair is a pain to maintain...but easy to manage on a daily basis.

Praying for your glasses and hair cut

Our weather will be warming this week; we may even see 60 by Sunday....then followed by ARCTIC AIR coming in for a deep freeze and storms to end the month (back to normal)

Have a nice night ~ God bless

Hello, Bros. Dave and Tom.

Gail, our forecast sounds much the same, except weather arrives a day earlier here in southwestern Ohio. Our snow should be all melted by Saturday.

My hair began thinning when I was about forty years old. I have a wig, but it's not comfortable. I have oodles of cousins who all have hair. My dermatologist still says it's genetic and I'm the "lucky" one. Rogaine helps ever so slightly. The generic for men is what she said to use because it's cheaper and works as well. The top is very thin as is patches on the sides.

My glasses won't be ready until tomorrow evening. Tim said I look like an old lady from the 60s in these glasses. I doubt I go anywhere tomorrow, that being said. lol

Hello Sister Marsha,

Don't let the joking get to you. My kids like to joke about my clothes, my shoes, and my white mustache. The truth is that I'll wear what's comfortable for me and not worry about it. I could use Grecian formula on the mustache, but the kids would then joke around about me coloring my hair. I just laugh with them. I also wear glasses, but I have a pretty good spare set that isn't too far off of my prescription. I wear the unfashionable large lenses because that's what I like.

Have a great week.

Hello back at you Sister Gail,

We were up later than normal tonight and our little Hank called it a day about two hours ago. I had to scoop him up and carry him to bed. The things we do for our little 4-legged friends.

Oodles of hugs to you dear brother Dave and best wishes for this new year! God only knows how grateful I am that 2012 is gone forever!
It started with Alan's heart attack, followed by Juilette's diabetes.

I had to deal with numerous new responsibilites all at once and alas, I collapsed

Not too sure if I'm posting correctly as I am still into the rum and coke... the Lord seems to understand but wishes more for me at this time... Once again, thank you for being there for me. Not everyone understands the loss of a pet. I am utterly grateful for this forum!
