Dave ~ you mentioned having TODAY......
That has been impressed on me for a few months now.
Living in the PRESENT MOMENT...which is all we truly have!
The past is gone, and the future when it arrives will be the PRESENT moment.
So in living fully NOW...we are freed of all that 'baggage' you mentioned.
Each experience of each day is such a blessing; the Lord provides for each days needs.
Matthew 6:34
Take therefore no thought for the morrow:
for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.
Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Praise God ~ He is faithful, loving, and merciful
For sure Gail Sis'
Over the last 14 years [approx] this 'view' of life matters,
[I have]
has been growing and confirmed, within me
[there is, no going back_ no changes can be made to the beginning]
Accept this, and 'the cure' for each of us, is peace
Every morning, is the beginning of a new day _A 'gift'
that is measured by what we can witness/ achieve
with whatever we have, within it
We are undoubtedly, learning lessons ~these, help us grow [?]
Help
s us to gauge our steps, more confidently /more adeptly, and
teach us, via that accumulated experience, to 'read sign' for the path ahead
We are, ALL of us [and our relatives] given 'choice'
So whether we suffer [slings and
arrows] or, move 'out of range'
will depend upon the reasoning we have acquired as well as our ability
to love 'unconditionally'

is amazingly therapeutic
We are in a different stage of life for sure....
more time to think and "be", instead of doing the next thing.
I miss family very much, don't know how to fix any of the issues...
too complex...and I think having friends pass on would be very ouchy
Gail...our generation going so quickly, that is lonely.
My 2 closest friends have been suffering with health issues, the same time I was...
guess that is part of our generation.
One of my friends is older than I am...
I would miss her very much if she went to heaven...
Hi Shirley Sis'
I know we are wiser now and less-prone to naivete
re: the family matters you mention
I believe you must give blame [for any shortcoming] as justly as is possible
Your sadness, will probably reflect you
r inability [back then] to patch the 'rift' you see now
BEFORE it could be made /
BEFORE you learned the WISDOM it needed to foresee it happening...
~and the consequences, that have become so apparent
Give consideration, to all-sides [then] making moves
that satisfied their own view, of the matters that pre-empted their 'moving apart'
Each with own 'values' being expressed ~in disagreement /ulterior motives
[?] You, were not a puppetmaster, and they, were not puppets to be 'controlled'
"Like minds, think alike"
God must feel similarly to you.... 'Why couldn't they behave in the manner I would' ?
Give them the freedom to behave as they will...
if they love you, they will come around
If they don't come-around, their hearts and minds are not with you
Ecclesiastes 11:1
Ship your grain across the sea; after many days you may receive a return.
~An expression from the Book of Ecclesiastes in the Old Testament:
“Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days.”
•This saying calls on people to believe that their good deeds will ultimately benefit them.
God bless you and give you peace

Just thinking about Dave's comment...
it seems I am able to form new relationships...they are not deep friendships, but I can connect with people
and have some kind of understanding of their life experiences...that is growth for me.
The Lord gets bigger and bigger, that is always good.
I have more peace...that is good.
I have access to God in prayer,...that is crucial for my emotional health...
those are present blessings
in contrast to old hurts and losses.
It seems that we truly do, 'reap what we sow'
[?]Giving.... provides a bigger 'return', than does 'taking'
[?]Being receptive to others, being patient and, not taking stuff 'personally'
helps to prevent disappointment and self admonishment
God, has most certainly influenced my life ~for the better
Time does seem to pass so quickly!
When you think of all that is behind us...I hope time stands still for the remainder of the journey...or at least slows

for your journey Shirley
May 'God's will' be done, I surrender to His will for me
How can I go wrong, with Jesus in the driving seat
My body is slow enough at this time... it hasn't stopped yet
His 'timing' is perfect
your Bro'
