Stopping by to say hello before the grandkids come for the night.

I laid low today because of my headache (which is finally starting to ease), but left my head and neck tender.

We did get out for a stroll; the weather is beautiful before the effects of the hurricane hit us.
The track/impact is still uncertain, but we can expect high winds and rain at the very least.
If we don't get a direct hit, we can enjoy the weekend; otherwise we will have to prepare the house and property for the high winds.

Praying for all directly in the path of the storm; be blessed

Well, Gail, the local weatherman just said it's uncertain how much Sandy effects us. If is goes north to MA, we may get nothing at all. Praying neither of us get it too bad.

I agree...you do not need a big hit from this storm.

I've had the empty nest syndrom often with my youngest. She used to return for awhile and then leave again for another year or two, then come back for another short stint. Of course I loved having her around but when she left again it took ages to remember what I used to do on my own.

Exactly! also, I hear every noise at night. lol

Hi All!

I've had a pretty good week. Feel a bit wore out, having to use a walker to get around. I went to both jobs, which worked out well. I am mainly doing sitting work at full time job and same with PT job. I did feel like I had over done it a bit, but, I'd rather go through this now than waiting. Something tells me that the longer I wait, the harder it will be.

I have two more weeks with this fiberglass cast!

We are sunny and mild...I did some steaming of my floors...they needed it.

A little news for me - I have my heart cath. procedure scheduled for 6:00 AM on this coming Wednesday. I'll be glad to get this over with. Preliminary tests indicate either something minor or nothing at all. I'm praying for nothing at all. I'll let everyone know.

We had a nice time with our grandsons this weekend; what a blessing to have them....it was 12 years yesterday that their older brother died in the womb 4 months early from Osteogenesis Imperfecta

I am in week 2 of my healing diet, and although I have dropped 5.3#, it has been rough!
My body has been detoxifying from all the junk I fed it all summer with headaches, tummy upsets, fatigue etc; thankfully that is easing up, and my energy is coming back.
The Lord has been so merciful to me in giving me sufficient grace; the temptations have been horrid (hubby did NOT help by buying halloween candy :doh: ) but I have resisted

We are prepared and bracing for the hurricane; it is very possible we could lose power Destructive storm impact forecast for Massachusetts

We've had roller coaster weather here from 80s to 30s, but I'm not complaining. My prayers are with those facing Sandy and the additional problems that it might cause (i.e. flooding, power outage). Other needs that have been mentioned will also be in my prayers.

The wind has picked up, but the rain isn't too heavy yet; the worst will be mid afternoon into the evening they say.
Coastal areas are contending with flooding, which I will be spared because we are inland a bit and at a higher elevation.
There could be river/stream flooding affecting some roads here as we have many lakes and rivers.
Wind damage and power outages are the major concerns for our area.

Yes, I read that those things are a huge concern too. I hope you don't lose power. It can be very tiresome when that happens. I will pray that you ones don't suffer any wind damage at all.
