It is not something that I am planning to do anytime soon

Why not? If you don't do it soon, you will never do it,. Let's not forget that we are no longer spring chickens, lol....

Christian hospitality, is quite unique
Some spouses, however, may find that they have
more than a sense of disquiet [suspicion]
and, be against such openess, then being shown [?]

Hogwosh! Partners that do not see the bigger picture need to be given a minor role in the whole affair.,, I, for one, being given leadership skills, would drive the machine towards the glory of His Righteousness, for His Name's sake!!!

:prayer:

I would love to tour Canada and the United States
and to visit my Family in Christ...

THEN DO IT!

This may have-to be postponed, until we meet up, in that "mansion of many-rooms"

Poetic yes. But still a cop-out! :sorry:

LOL... there is 'so-much', that 'flies in the face' of possibility
[for me, personally]
It would COST___ 'no small-fortune'
and back-packing, such an adventure, is beyond my body LOL

"Cop Out" .... nah, Yvie, this is.... 'the stuff of dreams'
and, I have 'already' made that trip :)

You'll have-to be patient... until I win the lottery

LOL

I'm just about to head for bed, but thought I would pop in. Today was a nice warm day here; tomorrow will be as well. Yesterday, my nerves were on overload, but today has been a calmer day. We also went out for endless shrimp. Eating out is something we don't do often, but the opportunity presented itself. Some trees around here are completely bare, but others are looking very pretty. It was a nice drive.

I've been reading this thread and would like to introduce myself. I'm Rene from Canada near Vancouver. I live close to woodlands and the sea. It's ideally located but travelling sounds great too. It used to be backpacking but not being the spring chicken anymore either means waiting on the lottery bus too lol.
Winter is just setting in as of this morning it seems...brrrr...but still lots of reds, oranges and yellows on the trees.
My new favorite food is authentic Ethiopean after visiting a family owned restaurant the other day. Some surprising great tastes!
Anyway, must be off so have a great night everyone.

Hello Rene from "near Vancouver in Canada"

Welcome to The Golden Eagles Forums :)

The weather [here] is forecast to plummet ~by the weekend
which is for-sure, NOT something to look-forward to :shiver:
Soon, we can expect snow to make a show, also

We too, have fall colours in the trees around us and also, on the ground
It is a full time job 'sweeping' the leaves on the paths
~for their becoming perilously 'slippy' following dew /rainfall, if neglected

I am actually a 'home body'
but trips 'out 'n' about', are a very-welcome 'experience'
that do actually, provide stimulation [to the mind state]
His 'palette' is incredibly complex ;)

Mary and I have just returned from a 'Silver Social Lunch'
A whole bunch of 'we oldies', meet-up once a month, for a couple of hours
@ cost of £5 each and, maybe have a game of 'bingo' afterwards
Every now and again we'll have a coach trip arranged, to take us 'out of town' for the day
We have been to some very interesting destinations, in past years

I am off now, to 'fly-around' the other threads
but will look back in, when the header changes :D

Hugs to you Marsha...we love to eat out...always is a fun thing for us.

Our weather just looks the same here...LOL. I was very tired and nervous last night...tried to import my photos using LR3 and lost everything...probably due to my seldom using that program and being tired. I thought I had some new and interesting stuff to share, it is gone, till next time. I also uninstalled LR3. I don't like using it much...prefer CS5.

I have not gotten back into my routine with prayer and Bible, still working on that...haven't taken Gracie for a walk...maybe I am still tired...been hurting everywhere a lot, muscles and joints. I am not depressed tho.

Hi everyone
We were off doing errands today, and got a nice walk in with Penny after.

My doc is booked solid until December for physical exam appts, so we decided we will get a flu shot next week at the local pharmacy, and I'll check with the doc about a shingles vaccine when I see him.

This week I started back on my 'healthy diet' because I am not feeling 100%.
Hubby is concerned there could be other reasons, but I am confident I will feel better when I eliminate the junk and foods I am sensitive to.
Just since Monday my weight is down, I am sleeping pretty good, and have no asthma/fluid retention.
I have had headaches each day, but that is to be expected as the body eliminates toxins with the diet change.

It is time we BOTH get back on track BEFORE we develop problems :holy:
We enjoy eating out as well, but seeing we are living off our savings the next 10 months until social security kicks in, we should cut pennies and carbs :sorry:

Our weather has been nice, but the bright foliage is now gone and after next week ALL the trees will be bare :o 'Frankenstorm' Sandy will blast East Coast

Tomorrow our grandsons will be staying overnight; they can help around with the storm preps

Be blessed

I must stick pretty on-track with my diet too...sometimes I really want something made with milk, but just am afraid to eat it...Eric had a yummy looking tomatoe soup...milk base, I resisted; it is not fun sometimes because i mis a big variety of foods these days.

Guess you changed your mind about the shots...my flu shot was very easy this year...I did get a patch of red skin at the injection sight with the shingles vaccine...check with your doctor as you said.

With the two of us having asthma, it IS best that we do get the flu vax!

I usually feel pretty good when following my diet.....but it sure can be BLAND :p and just one bite of a forbidden food can set me off track.

To that end....Hubby passed on buying pastry so as not to tempt me, but then bought 3 bags of candy for halloween....and we don't even get kids
Obviously he is not on track yet with a diet change ;)....but I am determined to resist as you did :D

My doc appt in December is an incentive to present myself in the best health I can, making it easier to address any concerns if they are still present (right now there are too many factors with sensitivities/ allergies etc)

We will remain strong together, girlfriend

I am concerned about you for the shingles vaccine...if you have had chicken pox, you probably need the shot...because you are very sensitive...but that sensitivity is a cause for concern as well...not an easy call.

I have a friend who lost her daughter to chicken pox...the girl was 20 years old when she died. The stuff went into her lungs....
