Hello dear ones, hope all of you are doing well, Dave, I read on the last Chit Chat that your heart was better, I hope it is continuing to be that way.

Happy news, Steve ( who is also a member of this Christian forum) and I are married. We got married in Nevada as that is the only state that allows him to marry without his visa, it is all legal. We had a lovely Christian wedding at a lakeside chapel, we will be flying home to New Zealand this Friday, I am nervous but happy about it, there, we will have another wedding and his dad will take me down the aisle. We have been married one week today, Tuesday. We got married on the 25th, it has been wonderful to be with him and pamper him, he certainly pampers me a lot too, I am so very happy.

Love to all
Susie

I wrote this a few years ago, I wanted to share.

A Tribute to Autumn

As we bid "good bye" to Summer, let us welcome it's predecessor, Autumn. Autumn, otherwise known as "Fall" is a season festooned with myriad's of color and Mother Nature's merry little breezes turning from hot to a caressing warm-to-cool.

Soon, the trees will be changing their leaves of green to those of yellow, gold, red, and orange. An occasional rust hue will sometimes be observed as well. In areas where Evergreens reside, the contrast is quite beautiful, you will see the colors strategically placed with the green, it can be breathtaking indeed when the background is a large mountain or a mirrored lake. Yes, the Lord is truly the "Artist" as no one can even come close to creating scenes such as these.

The New England States win the grand prize for Fall Foliage colors, and next, are some of the Southern states such as Kentucky and Virginia. White Church Steeples against the backdrop of reds, oranges and yellow are truly a picture-postcard. The narrow country lanes, in which trees form a canopy, touching each other from one side to the other is like an outdoor cathedral, one can not help but feel the presence of our Lord when strolling amongst such an idyllic setting.

When the leaves start to fall, many people will collect them to make various crafts or press into scrap books as mementos. Let's not forget, however, the job at hand, which is RAKING!! Oh my, for many days, folks make many little "hills" only to have the excited children jump right in the middle of them, "SWOOSH!! This creates a type of "spray" as leaves go scurrying every where, sometimes, Rover joins in the fun as well. Oh well, back to square one, "and this time, you guys, you are gonna help, ya hear." HeHe. But, dad never stays angry to long, and before you know it, bags are filled and the task is finished for another year.

Taking walks during this time of year is a peaceful experience. I love to watch the squirrels as they scamper about collecting their nuts for the winter, why, some have so many in their little jaws, they look like they will pop. Many critters will use the leaves for making snug little dens and nests. My favorite part of walking is watching the leaves gently fall to the ground or kicking the leaves as I go, I enjoy watching them float into the air and land again.

Scarecrows, pumpkins, corn-a-copias, turkeys, corn husks, are but a few of the many decorations that, if people decorate for the season, will use. As the rays of sun slant through the windows, the warm colors cast a cozy light to rooms in which these items are used.

The highlight of the Autumn Season is the wonderful holiday of "Thanksgiving." All week, proceeding this scrumptious day, aromas of freshly baked goodies can be smelled as one enters the kitchen after being outside all day doing a hard days labor. Thanksgiving day itself brings the delicious smell of the turkey along with muffins, candied yams, peas and various other tasty viands. After a wonderful meal, all head for the living room to watch a little foot ball, although, I suspect, that most end up taking a snooze instead. Then, it is back to the kitchen for "just one more" piece of that delicious pumpkin or apple pie.

Autumn, what a wonderful time of year the Lord has given us. Let us all be thankful and rejoice in His works.

It's officially Tuesday here since it's 30 minutes after midnight - HAPPY TUESDAY.

Our two little babies go to the groomer later this morning, and they always show off when they get back. They'll also get the hair out of their eyes and be able to see better. Little Hank knows that he's cute and actually struts. :D On the first trip outside, Lucy runs in circles as fast as her little legs will carry her.
Sweet :D
Penny runs in circles when she is excited too; always did..... even as a pup.

Hope you and the Mrs are doing well ~ have a great day

Allergies are very serious conditions in my opinion...
They can be for sure; I need to watch my diet and environment at peak times
The allergy pill I took yesterday kept me up ALL night :o I didn't get to sleep until 5am...then slept fitfully until 10-ish.
It wasn't my usual treatment; that will teach me... at least it worked :sorry:
So today was another unproductive day at home....and spent on CF :D

I can relate, I feel like most of my time is spent "living with fatigue"...I sit a lot or just feel bad. Diet is important for me...but not a sure thing for a cure.

I am finding gorgeous photos on Pinterest...check it out if you feel like it.

These days I have very low standards for myself, in some ways. If I'm able to keep my outlook positive, it's a productive day. LOL But, I do know what you mean.

I mean, spiritually, I know answers, but my mood seems to have a mind of it's own this time of year. I

That is how I live too...trying to keep a smile in my heart...if I can keep the house in decent order and get the laundry done...that is a victory right there!

I too had a productive day at ceramics today

I 'finished' applying colour glazes to my latest project
and it has been taken away for finish-firing.... Pics, when I have it returned, to me

We [Mary and I] have agreed
~that it will take the place of the clock, on our mock fireplace

Sorry, no-clues will be given
You'll just have-to 'hang-on' ~wait and see

Starting 'low' you can only go UP ;)
Season changes usually trigger mood changes as well...especially this time of year with shorter, more cloudy days.
Getting some sun exposure daily and fresh air helps ....even if you just sit in a window (crack it for the air)
