You can buy Christmas crackers here, but we only have them if one of our kids decide to get a box of them. We may start getting them more often when our grandson is bigger, if he enjoys them.

Good for you; I love crocheting and knitting, and think it is great when men do it too!
I met a veteran in a nursing home when I was in nursing school, who knitted and crocheted all kinds of items (he was 82!!)

Well, I am off to see the doc for my check up :o fun!!!

It was 'gifted' to us, by a family member
who, had acquired much-larger seating capacity and needed 'space' urgently

We, had been bemoaning the lumpy stuff we had
and were looking-for a smaller settee and armchair...
It seems like, a 'miracle', to upgrade in this way [so unexpectedly]

I do the candy canes too. I put on a dozen and on the 12th day of Christmas, my grandson may take one off and eat it... he gets to eat one everyday and on Christmas. He is 15 and has been doing it since he was small.

That just sounds like fun for all.

I hope that everyone has a great weekend. I'm reading one of my favorite portions of Scripture today, Romans 8, and want to share:

Romans 8:16-18 KJV The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Just think - we're children of the King of Kings.

I like Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought:But the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

This verse has comforted me many times. I have clinical depression and at times I get so down, I can't pray. I know the Holy Spirit is talking to God for me because it bears witness with my spirit.

I find 'comfort' to be found, in the knowledge, that God in His Perfect Majesty,
MUST HAVE allowed such things to occur
or-else, we simply would not experience them [?]

Therefore, whatever our circumstances, let us believe that 'His purpose'
is to enable our 'growth' ~and not, to bankrupt us /bring us low

As a former law officer Tom...you probably can really picture the crime scene...what a nightmare for the whole country...yet we murder the unborn at a much higher rate every day and think nothing of it.
