Hello everyone. It's nearly 5 pm here. The day has gone very quickly, as usual. I had another physio session this afternoon and the physio says my foot is looking better and my walking is improving. She noticed my foot still a bit swollen, but said that would settle with time. I still haven't plucked up the courage to drive, especially in the cold weather.

My wife had a great doctor appointment yesterday. She is improving now by the day, and they are getting her stabilized with the right medications. Good news and good progress.

Well, as you can see by my sig, my family and I went to see the Hobbit this evening. We enjoyed it all very much and though it's a long movie, it didn't feel long at all. I think the main characters were great in their acting roles and the movie moved along at a good pace. Great sound effects and costumes and so on too. We loved it.

We have been wondering about seeing this movie....hmmmm...just might do it.

I went out to the grocery stores, the 2 I like that are out of town. Took a while, the parking lots are jammed and cars were stacking up waiting for a place to pull in to. I stocked up tho and won't need to shop at these particualr stores for several weeks.

We do seem to be having a storm system come tru...just clouds right now and it is a bit colder for us...Gracie got her walk earlier...today is her 2nd birthday.

We had temps in the high 60's...I opened a window for a while when steaming the floors...tomorrow I will go out to the grocery store.

We are definitely in a serious drought here.

Dave, that new furniture you have sounds lovely.

I have a new little chest of drawers - white with drawers that have stopper thingies on them so they can't just keep coming out and out till they fall like the old type of drawers. I love it!

who, had acquired much-larger seating capacity and needed 'space' urgently

We, had been bemoaning the lumpy stuff we had
and were looking-for a smaller settee and armchair...
It seems like, a 'miracle', to upgrade in this way [so unexpectedly]

As I think I have already mentioned, they 'match' my recliner
both, in colour and texture [despite it, (recliner) being only, 'leather-effect']

The furniture suited our requirements > to excess

Yes, those 'are those'

Our's, are just about four inches long
and around one and a half inches in diameter

Teddy has grabbed down two shiny baubles and two crackers,
thus far [destroyed]
He has been TOLD-OFF!! and we now see him
watching over his shoulder, whenever he gets near the tree
He is reminded ["LEAVE IT!!"]
and we think, he now 'understands' ~it is 'an offence'
The candy canes have not yet been disturbed



Although 'wary' when the birds dive-bomb us
He is making no-effort at-all, to snatch them out of the air

re: the birds.... Billy-Bob-Bob and Bobby-Bob-Bob [both 'males']were rehomed, last night
and we have a very-likely 'new home' coming-up, for one of the white hens
[ a friend, of a friend] ]
Perhaps, this side of Christmas

I do the candy canes too. I put on a dozen and on the 12th day of Christmas, my grandson may take one off and eat it... he gets to eat one everyday and on Christmas. He is 15 and has been doing it since he was small.
