Am in 'good spirits' too!

I have had my appointment for MRI examination of my heart confirmed today
~at a South Manchester Hospital >> at the end of next week
I just need to get my doc to arrange hospital transport / ambulance
and we can step back and await the day

This morning I attended opticians for my two-yearly 'check-up'
and learned of an increased prescription for my right eye
I was WARNED, that the prescription will be very strange for me, to begin with
~balance adjustment required
but that I should, grow used to the new setup, within a few days

I am already missing my computer, which fell ill [terminally] a couple of weeks ago

Mary has been kind enough, to allow me online-access via her PC
but this isn't quite the same as having my own machine
and my time online is also seriously curtailed

On our way home from the optician's I bought a cooked chicken
and we divided it in half and ate it, as did the cave-people of yore
[a right 'pig-out' ~greasy fingers]

No snow here, as yet but we know we will see some in the coming weeks
Morning frosts have yet to make a showing here
but dews are VERY HEAVY now, so they won't be long a'coming either

I have some bird 'song' recorded [Budgies and Cockatiels]
and just need to host them [probably at photobucket] to publish them here

I have persevered with my E-cig smoking... \o/
and haven't had tobacco for four or five weeks
After the holidays, I will reduce the nicotine 'content' [by half]
and begin, 'weaning' my body, off, of it's craving

I hope your Winter weather, remains mild throughout
'extremes' can be very hard on us all

Hey, we could do something very similar...can you post a pic of the runner?

We got the tie out cable at Walmart; they have various lengths and weights.
The back yard was recently landscaped; the tie is achored to a tree at the top of the embankment.

Our food shopping and our walk was done before 1pm today to beat the incoming storm; after lunch I did my chores and now I am just SITTING.

It is brutally COLD and blustery (31 with wind chills in the low 20's); our heavy winter coats, hats, boots, and gloves came out of the closet to walk around the lake
We have 3-4 in snow coming any time now, with a possible mix to end the storm tomorrow.
Hopefully it doesn't ice over and cause us to lose power.

Wow...it is almost warm here again...but every day has been cooler...we may get into the 50's by Sat....that is cold for us...probably not for you.

The hooks just screw in for easy assembly
The sets are sold anywhere they have pet supplies (hardware stores etc).

After this storm they are calling for it to warm into the mid 60's Sun-Tues
We are looking forward to a decent snowfall this winter so we can get a lot of snowshoeing in

I hope you get that snow...we are needing snow in the High Sierras...they are dry up there too.

I will check out my hardware and pet shops in town...bet I can find something.

I am tired tonight...no walk for Gracie today....boy, I have slowed down this year, it drives me a little nuts.

It is a quiet day here as the storm winds down; I am busy cooking boiled eggs, rice, and chicken patties that I have for lunches with veggies.
The cooked foods I freeze(or refrigerate) in individual lunch containers for a quick reheat.
Along with prepped raw veggies for snacks, it really helps me stay on track with healthy eating.

The few inches of snow we got, is melting on the roads and walks, as the temp rises and the precip turns to rain.
The weekend promises a big warm up into the 60's

My prayers go out to those along the coast who are still recovering from H. Sandy, and got heavy snow, winds, and flooding over night

*ETA: I just got in from clearing the slush off the driveway; we now have heavy rain, and temps are still above freezing (until later tonight).
Any icing will melt fast tomorrow, as will the snow on the grassy surfaces, with sun and temps @ 50.

Hello everyone,

It's Friday, so have a great weekend!

Our little dogs had a good time tonight with hide and go seek and ambush. They were hilarious. Hank likes to hide by putting his head under the bed and leaving his rear end and tail out. Lucy just looks at it as if to say - he thinks that he's hidden. Lucy also wins on ambush because she has more patience than Hank. Poor Hank - it's a hard job, but someone has to do it.

to test some problems I have with the site

It has been suggested, that I am the only person having problems with the site
and short of POLLING all members _ I guess, we will have to run with these things
and hope to discover the causes of those 'problems'

Hi Dave, I hope this works out for you...you might try posting smaller images too...see if that helps. I keep hoping that a new pc will be in your future...a gift from the Lord.

My husband is having pc problems too. Thinks he will look into a rebuilt one next.
The last one he bought was rebuilt and lasted quite a while for one hundred and fifty dollars
I am a 'tablet' person. Just love the handy way to pick it up from the easy chair.
Anyway I hope you get a new computer of your choice Dave. Don't know how we did without them now that we have them. Easy to get spoiled to teck stuff.

I have been through such-stuff BEFORE

First, with my Dell, then, with an old one of Mary's I had cleaned-up
and, most recently
the PC, that Mary's son Andrew, let me have back before last Christmas

I am expecting to hear from Microsoft shortly, since they
have been receiving reports re: the problems that my PC has been having
The THING is, all computers suffered similarly ~with two-different sites in TABS [same sites]
and both sites , have 'access'
~to my IP, my Username and Password -albeit 'different', for each site

I am sure, I will continue to gain access to the internet, one way or, another

re: "smaller images"
Many of those images belong to other persons [originally]
and, whilst shared, are shared 'as is' [without amendment]
~to resize them might be tantamount to, 'editing without permission'

But there is no reason, other than quality of viewing
why, I couldn't post my own images @ 600x600 pixels or, post image links, to full size photos

My last computer [to fail] was set up, with a single outgoing port [mine]
with Anti-Keylogging program running [in the background]
and also Data Execution Prevention on all unused programs
Most importantly, ONLY 'trusted sites' could switch on /use Active-X and Flash

I had no malware on my PC and so I suppose, that I 'dropped a clanger'
when 'easing up' on my browser settings
~while attempting to find a 'workaround', for the problems with my account here in CF

As it happens... my 'sock account' is also unable to find the chatbox
and I will make the required 100 posts in that account
that will allow my posting to it... just in case it can be seen, when past that point

It has also been suggested that there might be something wrong in my PROFILE
but I can see NOTHING in my profile, that could display or hide, the chatbox

I hope that there is something that can be done
to allow members to give and receive their blessings, too
I owe so-many already

I took [and passed] an AutoCAD course [version 12] back in 2000
I got my first computer shortly afterward, for @ £300 [$450+]
My Dell cost 'an arm and a leg'
I wish I could reboot that one

Oh well, if, I am meant to get another ~I will
