O, I will take the low temps too....I see quite a few folks getting around here on mobile wheel chairs...they go up and down our hills pretty well...usually in the weekeday mornings. We all like to be as independent as we can for as long as we can.

Yes indeed. It helps enormously to get out, weather permitting. Otherwise, I get crabby. I'm more of an afternoon and evening person. I guess that's one reason I don't adjust well to the shorter days of fall. I putter in the mornings, sip my coffee, watch TV a while.

I hope you still having heat manage to keep cool, at least some of the time. Popsicles helped me through our record hot July, not that they're my treat of choice normally.

I used to be a morning person....got up very early, fed horses and rode them...now I am all over the clock depending on weather and activities.

I am not doing so well in this heat, every year gets harder.

I can not take the heat at all, never could, and now that I am older, I really suffer. It is still hot here and it is 10:00, I have been sitting outside to cool off, but I am still hot. I don't know how people handle it. I have A/C, but, right now, I am not home to use it, I am at a different place, and there is no A/C there, ugh.

Well, getting late, so, better answer a few more posts and then hit the sack.

Shirely, what kind of horses do you have? I love horses, I use to teach riding in Arizona, loved it.

Hi gang...I have been up for a while here...we have cooled down enough to notice...thank the Lord, but it is still pretty hot...may take 2 weeks of slow cooling to get really comfortable again.

I am wanting to clean floors and rest today...doesn't make sense does it

We have AC...but with prolonged hot spells it get too expensive to use it...we run the fans almost non-stop.

I did get outside for a walk with Gracie last night...we got very hot, but enjoyed the outing anyway.

Susie, I had an Appendix mare...and a Quarter horse gelding....both paints...did a lot of trail riding, nothing fancy. I don't have any horses now.

We are having a nice day of relaxation and puttering with light chores.

I am happy you have a bit of relief Shirley
It is a bit warm and humid here today, but we are still comfortable.
We will try to get a walk in later when the road is more shaded and cooler.

There has been a huge fire since yesterday on the outskirts of our town, in fact, from certain areas, you can see the flames, according to the news, it is already over 800 acreas and 12 miles, the worst in the areas history I believe.

I saw the fire news today....we have a whole bunch of fires burning in the west....

We often can see the flames from fires here...so far we have had very few...but this is not our worst time of year...it is still to come.

Wow I hope nobody has or will get hurt by that fire. It is raining here. And it has been for the last 5 days. But I am not complaining. I live in the top floor and like the sound of rain on my rooftop at bedtime. Almost as good as crickets. We have a nice garden out front composed of night shades so at least I know they are getting their RDA of H2O
