We sure are quiet today in here...my hubby is finally finishing the base board work in our house in preperation for the painters on Monday...we will be putting the small items "somewhere" to make the work space cleaner.
I am glad to get this started, but will be glad to have it over too.

We just got back from our walk (timed between the spotty showers)
I have been feeling quiet this week; It has been busy, hot, and humid ...and this ole brain has been preoccupied

I have missed you Gail...((((((hugs))))). Hubby is still installing the remainder of the baseboards...I forgot, this job takes a while to do. And, it is getting a lot hotter outside. I am feeling sort of weird...summer blahs I think. I have been walking Gracie in the evenings...I just cannot get us out there early enough to beat the heat.

We have taken a number of evening walks too ~ the road is full sun in the daytime, and heats up fast.
By late afternoon it is more shaded and there is a breeze off the lake.
The deer flies have been really nasty here :o they circle your head then dive bomb into your hair; many times they come in swarms of 4 or 5.
They go for the highest point, so I luck out if hubby is with me lol.
Not so good for him, but always good for Penny, who they completely ignore
Their bite packs a painful punch......can draw blood, swell and itch.
Thankfully their lifespan is fairly short, but long enough to ruin many walks as you race back and forth

I used to do all kinds of things to keep flies off my horses every summer...I don't miss that job.
I am resting tonight...just don't want to get hotter and sweaty tonight.

Today has been good...we ate breakfast out early, we have not done that in quite a while...then we moved a lot of stuff anticipating the painters tomorrow.
It is very hot now...and will be hotter tomorrow. I will walk Gracie after dark tonight.

We just got back from our walk too...it was a hot one, though less humid.
Glad you had a productive day!
Tomorrow hubby will be painting more of the house (exterior) and I will clean a bit of the cellar (rearranging shelve storage).
