Good morning

After a brief rain shower, the sun is warming us up fast; we are in for a hot spell with temps in the 90's and isolated t-storms each day

The water line has several breaks in it, so they are back today to fix things again.
We do have huge jugs of water to flush the toilet, and thankfully we were both able to shower before they shut the water main off
It also gives us an excuse not to do chores today (but they WILL wait for me)

Hubby has an eye exam after lunch and will need a ride because they will be dilating his pupils.

Penny's tummy seems better after her diet change, but she seems down today (confused about her lack of treats I guess).
Hubby started giving her food when he cooked against my protests, so now he must reassure her, and treat her with other things when he cooks, so she doesn't EXPECT it

Things are better in general today, after a good night's sleep and prayer time.
Hubby also talked to his boss, who reassured him he should have work next week.
Praise God for these blessings ~ He is so merciful and loving

Tomorrow we have my nephew's wedding to attend later in the day.
It will be hot but should cool down a bit come late afternoon, and the reception is inside.
At least there are no t-storms expected; hopefully we will be shaded in the garden for the ceremony.

That's it for me today....a brighter day than I have had in a while for sure!

I am glad you are better today Gail...I was praying for you last night...and hubby's work.

We had the plumbing issues earlier this year...remember...

WE are going out to dinner with some friends tonight...Gracie heard every bump in the night last night...so I was tired this morning and think I will skip the walking.

We were out longer than expected....hubby's eye exam was comprehensive and took 2 hours :o but thankfully (except for a few minor problems) it went well.

We ended up going out for supper after doing a few quick errands on the way home because it was late, is very hot out, and we had no water when we left the house.

The meal we enjoyable and we came home to FULL WATER PRESSURE (PTL)

Nothing else is planned now except to get my dishes and laundry done ....and then stay cool and relax, until we head out to the wedding in the afternoon.

Well, we were gone for a while...I like all the couples we were with, but I am an oddball as usual. Several of them were enjoying the gambling and drinking...something I don't do...we ate at a casino buffet. The couple we went with were not big drinkers or gamblers either...just felt weird to be there...sort of the story of my life. LOL

I hope to get Gracie out early for a walk.

Not much planned today except for the wedding ; we are leaving in 2 hours, and will just relax until we get ready.
It is a beautiful warm summers day with a stiff breeze; heating to the upper 90's later today.

I had a lovely time with the Lord last night in prayer, and He had wonderful lights and graces that lifted my spirit.
He is so loving and merciful on His poor souls like me

been a long time since I did a couples anything.... Don't think I even want to anymore. I got off of work two or three days ago and went to eat at Q'doba.. I was sitting there at a window booth watching all the people interact with each other when it occurred to me that what is NORMAL for them is abnormal for me. I have gotten to where the act of waiting for someone else so I can do what I want to do is a complete bother. oops.. How did I become so much of a loner? I eat alone, walk alone, I shop alone, most of the time I watch tv alone (unless someone comes over to visit) when I'm in the car I'm always alone. I don't enjoy going to the movies with my girlfriends because I can't watch the movie I want to watch. In fact, the passenger seat of my car is a resting place for paperwork, pens and pencils most of the time. I remember there being a time when what I do felt lonely to me. Now, I prefer it... Have two girlfriends who I only call when I'm done doing my eating, cleaning, or shopping because the minute I call them they want to come with me.. I was invited to go see a movie with one of them the other day and I actally got crabby because I wasn't going to get to do what I wanted. Instead, I was going to have to do "girlie" things. I'm absolutely awful.

ps.. I don't like casinos or bars.. everything is overpriced and there are too many scum bags who frequent those places. I have never seen what the big deal is with gambling and to be honest I cannot for the life of me imagine how it might be habit forming. seems so boring when you think about it. I do enjoy a glass of wine with dinner sometimes. or just in the evening when I'm watching tv.. but going out and drinking when you know you have to drive to get home seems fool hearty and selfish to me. too many people in my family have died from combining automobiles and alcohol and too many of them have hurt other people as well. did it when I was younger.. It was sort of a right of passage around my family... but now that I'm older and know better I'm ashamed.

I've been reading everyone's posts.
I'm chiming in.
I'm a big coffee drinker..Driink coffee and milk every morning. I drop by starbucks for latte once in a while as well.
I don't own a dog.
I need to get to the doctor.. You guys are always talking about it and I haven't been in three years. I haven't been to an eye doctor in at least 10 and maybe almost that long since I saw a dentist. I have a chipped tooth to but since it isn't causing me any pain I just ignore it. I have really been neglecting myself I think. after my mom died I went to the doctor and he tried to put me on depression meds and talked about my wieght gain. I never went back. I really do need to do that. don't remember when my last mamogram was and my female exam was right after mom died. I guess I should put these things on my to do list.
