Chinese Christian(new comer)

Is there any danger in becoming a Christian in China? What kind of Christians are most of the Christians in China and in the rest of Asia? Catholics, Protestants, Eastern Orthodox...ect.

There are about 50 million protestant and believers of native denomination in China. The number of catholic is about 10 million. And there are also a few orthodox believers. A majority of them do not register to the religion department of the government. The most danger to us is that we feel pressure in heart in this country(Chinese mainland) of Atheisms. In some cases someone would be arrested..

If that's the case (and I suspect that it is), then there may be more Christians in China than in America (where many Christians aren't really Christians).

unfortunately true (about America, and theres an attitude like that here too, many people like being called a Christian, but as my Pastor once put they may say they're a christian but are they a disciple of Jesus? Do they follow him and do His work etc?

Anyway i heard a statistic like that about China a while ago, 'tis very cool!!

Yes, but I think only very few is opposite to Bible, most of them are the analysising of Bible from some tradition Chinese culture, and it may give a new aspect of Bible, and it somewhat right, because Bible belong to all the people in this world not only to a special area.

God(神，上&#24093?

When James Tailor Hudson ([FONT=&#23435]戴德生[/FONT]) preached the Gospel from England to China, he emphasized that the God(神，上&#24093 of Chinese ancestors was not same with the definition of God in Bible. I think he is right. Until now many Chinese Christians do not know the clear concept of "God".
Pardon me what I have said .This is my opinion. My faith approaches Messianic ,from this sight(a special style of Church) to watch “One Body of Yeshua (Jesus, [FONT=&#23435]耶稣[/FONT])

The military taught me Chinese for my job. Pretty basic, I'm still learning everyday. Pinyin is easier, but I need to practice reading and writing characters. Don't know much traditional stuff, all the characters I know are simplified.

I am a Christian who happens to also be a Soldier. I have spent my fare share of time in SW Asia and I have always wanted to see the rest of Asia.

I would like to know what it is like being a Christian in some of these countries I have never been to for example Singapore or China. Actually I am just interested in all of the Asian countries.

I am also the Operations Chief for a Christian Military website and I am looking for some stories of salvation or witnessing done in other countries.

I go to Protestant Church,I like reading many kinds of books,now more interested in literature and cutural,also western history.
I read the book Da Vinci Code,that book is so attract to me,I just read it as fiction.
