• CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I go to Protestant Church,I like reading many kinds of books, now more interested in literature and cutural, also western history.
I read the book Da Vinci Code, that book is so attract to me,I just read it as fiction.
Edward,

That's interesting that you like Western history--I am interested in Asian history. Growing up in the US, I would get kind of bored hearing about western history, and wanted to know what happened on the other side of the world--when history is unfamiliar to you, it is especially like reading a good story.

Yes, The DaVinci Code is fiction. It might be good for you to research it, so that you can be firm in what you believe and know better how to answer people. I read a little bit of informationon it and was surprised at the number of historical errors on the "facts" section of (I think it was) the DVD.

What kind of music do you like? Oh, I just got a book called Song of a Wanderer by Li Cheng, who is a Chinese scholar. I have it now in English, and some copies in Chinese. I've heard a lot of good about it, but have not read it yet, so finally I got a copy. It looks very interesting--I started it yesterday. It talks about how a Chinese scholar who was an atheist went through the process of becoming a Christian as he studied several things in depth. You can do a search on it and find it easily--I think there might even be an online version.

I am so sorry that I am back so late and so exciting that there are many ppl pay their attention to Chinese Christian underground house Church.

First, thanks for any of you who pray for the bad free religion situation in China and myself. Thanks very much and God will remember you.

Secondly, I would like to give the answer to some of you who ask the question:

1)I am in Melbourne now, study in Monash University and major in Accounting and Marketing. I don't like accounting but I have to study. The reason is study accounting will easy get PR in Australia, my goal is want going to USA to study divinity one day because Chinese christian church very lack of this. It is very hard to get the USA visa, therefore come Aus first. There is so many things to say, but dont know how to say it...

2)The underground house church is unlegal within Chinese law which is conflicting because Govnmt say there is free in religion, in fact, there is no free in religion. It is unsearchable if you dont know. There is some different meaning about "church" in Chinese. One is "JiaoTang" which should have a building and get some facility, the other is "JiaoHui" which means the place gathering the people who believe God,love God.The underground house church looks like family fellowship, people gathering together in one of christian's family or to rent a house then to give the service to brothers and sisters.

3)Yes, sometimes is danger become christian in China. If govnmt want to control the church. Recently, lots of college and university student become christian, the governmt is very worry about that, it is very stressful to Chinese Communist Party because the number of christian is increase so quick!

4)The most number of the christian in China is poor people, illiteracy people who is not educated much more.
Such as, farmer, worker and so on... However, we should give thanks to God that a number of student christian is going up... Thanks for all western and easten missionary as well, I am so touching by their great work in China, especially Hason Tailor??(sorry forget how to spell the name in english)

(I dont know whether you got the meaning or not? sorry about my bad english. However, thanks giving the opportunity to practise my english... ^^)

I am very happy to be here again...

God bless all of you and me and my beautiful country-CHINA ^^

Edward,

Good-you already know about Li-Cheng's book! I'm still reading it in English. It's pretty interesting. I have also started reading the book about Brother Yun. This is also very interesting to me--I am very excited to seeing what God is doing in China.

Blessings

Excuse me, Aeonian,

Who is "brother Yun", Is he "the heavenly man " Liu Zhen-Ying(刘振营)? It is said by many Chinese Christians that he is a cheat.Several famous Chinese Church leaders including Yuan Xiang- Chen(袁相忱) ever written a letter together signing their names to Chinese Christians That they do not cooperate with “brother Yun” (heavenly man ,刘振营).

peace,

It is said that 30 years later, the population of Christianity in China will get to more than 300 million, which is more than 20% of the whole population.

But until now the base of faith is still weak.Chinese Church need real Rice from Heaven, His True Word (including the correct explanation).

right,~bro,I just read some article about bro Yun,many people here said that he is a cheat!

An Open Letter of Love Advice from Leaders & Co-workers of Chinese Churches
To Worldwide Christian Churches

Being a member of churches in China (or Chinese churches) and of body of Christ, by inheriting the teaching and the spirit of Mr. Wang Mingdao, we feel responsible for announcing this love warning to all non-Chinese churches and believers:

The churches in China grow up by suffering blood and tears. Even through poverties and persecutions, they still stand firm and not moved. After China were opened, great human resources and financial aids from overseas did help churches, but these abundant physical resources and money also made some ministers to fall into the snares.

According to some objective investigation and evidences, we are able to carefully speak the truth in love: The Heavenly Man-- Liu Zhenying, who is supported by Xu Yongze of the Born again Group in Henan and pretty active in West right now, is a man who makes false testimony and deceives Western churches. He misuses the name of God; He knows the truth but still sins purposely. He is a black sheep (Hai qun zhi ma) in churches of China.

We emphasize on unity in Christ. We also agree with the fact that Chinese people to spread Gospel to the whole world, including back to Jerusalem. But we can’t just have these understandings and to ignore the essential character of spiritual life in cross. We oppose the way that Heavenly Man boasts and lies to strive for fame, wealth and status by making use of the name ‘suffering, unity & mission’. We can’t agree with Heavenly Man. He has no qualification to represent churches in China to speak.

We sincerely give this advice to churches, organizations & believers overseas or within the country---to discern carefully and not to be misled by propaganda. We also exhort all groups and individuals who support Heavenly Man to take your courage and to turn from mistakes. We persuade Heavenly Man to stop the spiritual deception thoroughly and to apologize openly. Otherwise, it will be a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

We appeal to all believers & co-workers to intercede for thousands who has been deceived or misled, pray for God’s healing falls upon the wounded. Ask the Lord to help them to learn warnings from this lesson, out of the disappointment and still keep their enthusiasm and love. Pray to the Lord to give them discernment and wisdom, and truly become the alert watchmen/intercessors, and finally to be a blessing to China.

25. October 2004 signed: Allen Yuan, Mrs. Yuan (Liang Huizhen), Yuan Pinghu, Yuan Fule, Moses Xie Moshan, Mrs. Xie (Chen Ailan), Weng Bin.
04. November 2004 signed: Samuel Lamb (Lin Xiangao), Chen Guancheng etc …

''Back to Jerusalem'' Movement?

I Know Chinese have been used to all kinds of "Movements" and in fact Church of Jewish and West Asia does not cooperate with this "Movement". Be careful please.

To see another article giving a positive review of Brother Yun and his work, look up:

An Open Letter Regarding 'The Heavenly Man' by Paul Hattaway

on the internet. I would post the website, but I haven't written enough posts to be permitted to include a link to an external website.

I think it's good to be careful what we believe--whether in favor of someone, or against them. I still consider Brother Yun's story legitimate, because it seems to have been well researched and documented, and I have not found conclusive evidence otherwise. Some things we may only know for certain after plenty of time has passed.

Blessings,
Aeonian
