CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

To be fair I think AV has a point.
If I die and I then find out god did in fact burry the fossils in order to make us all think evolution in true knowing the truely faithfull would not care about reality.
Then I would have to pretty much accept that he was a deceitful god but god by definition is always good so it was good of him be deceitful there for I deserve hell.
I would understand very well why I was denied heaven, I might not agree with it but I would understand why.

Then heaven or hell would be reduced to a lottery. Given no evidence to go on, you might as well choose the correct thing to place your faith in by flipping a coin.
I'm not sure what good means where you live, but tricking people into believing something and then punishing them for it doesn't fit any definition of good I've ever heard.

Come on, he wouldn't only be deceitful he would have expected us to play dumb deliberately. The whole of existence would be a bad joke. Actually coming to think of it I like the idea...
