Yeah, it logs me off whenever I try to vote. I guess that's one way to keep the vote count down.

Maybe we're voting for the wrong option.

Still having trouble but I'll keep trying.

In the meantime, here's a couple of pictures from my trip to Chicago last weekend. I go there often so I didn't take many pictures, but here's what I have.

The Sears Tower, the tallest building in North America. I've been up to the top twice, but not this trip.

Like most of us I joined CF for Christian friendship and support. If I just wanted worldly chat I could join many other chat groups. Please let's keep this one dedicated to honouring God and encouraging his people. Difficult if we cannot vote.

Pete, I understand how difficult this has been for you. It is often difficult to know what we should do in a situation like this. Sometimes we are more effective staying and trying to quietly fight for what is Godly. Other times we need to make a stand for what we believe in and not compromise. This can be challenging because we are opening ourselves to critisism and loosing a lot, and it can take a long time for that space to be filled. All we can do is make the choice the Holy Spirit has put on our hearts. Keep trusting in God and being true to your conscience. The Lord will make your path clear.

Wayne, thanks for the help. Being such a technophobe I had to lie down for an hour with a cold compress on my head! Well, almost. lol. Will you see any pics from me? I will try, that is all I can promise. Will I sound totally stupid if I admit I do not know what photo bucket is? I seem to have something called adobe photoshop album starter 3.0. Is this something similar?

Jenny, photobucket.com is an internet photo hosting site. If you get an account (free), you can store pictures there, and then post a link to that site when you want to post the pictures somewhere else. Cristianna is much more familiar with the site than I am. There are some privacy settings you will want to make private, otherwise what you store will be public.

And are you trying to use the bible tags? To do that, simply hit the bible icon just above the smilies, then type the verse ref in between the [ bible ] and the [ / bible ]. The site will insert the verses, King James only. For example [bible]romans 8:2[/bible]

I also am currently unable to upload pix through the "manage attachments" portion of adding a post. The only way I can is to use my account at photobucket.com by copying and pasting the address into a post. I suspect it's a problem with CF, not any one of us.

How about you, Pepperoni? How did you upload your recent pix?

I've been having that problem with certain threads the past few days. What I've found out is that if you log in from the page that comes up saying you are logged out, you can go ahead and post or vote. Have them give that a try.

you are right there is a max size of file attachment - it is 1000 kb. mine are all under 200 kb! Go figure?

Any way i think the Facebook link works and I have not put loads on there!

Well, my moderator application was denied. I think they're trying to tell me I didn't fill out the proper form, but I believe I did. They said I can re-submit using the new rules, but I'm actually relieved because with everything going on, I can't imagine any other responsibilities right now.

I posted this in my "Urgent Prayer Request" thread, but I'll mention it here since it's been brought up. They tried to take my Dad off the ventilator yesterday and he was struggling to breathe. I was on the phone w/my mom and she was trying to help him. It was the most awful sound in the world. All I can think of to compare is the suction noise when you're at the dentist. I lost it and started crying. Just hearing him struggle like that was terrible.

So they intubated him again and gave him more sedatives. Today I think they will just try to let the steroids bring down the swelling in his throat and tongue. My Mom said they might also do a tracheotomy, which I thought was perm but it's not. I can't believe it's been almost a week and he's still in ICU. Please continue those prayers. Thanks so much.
