Okay, I managed to get the text larger and the posts wider just by adjusting my browser's font to a larger size. Someone before me here just said that didn't work for them. Maybe it's the browser.

It adds the rep but you don't see it on the post you repped after a refresh. It will appear on the person's next post.

Another Firefox issue:

In the quote screen (which is working for the first time for me now, yay!! ) the text box is pushed off to the right, making the smilies hang off the edge of the border where they appear to be suspended in black space. It's just odd looking, not a functionality issue.

Also, several icons have changed (add reputation, online, some on the UserCP next to threads that I haven't quite figured out yet). At some point it would be useful to have a legend.

Also, jelly_bean is having some problems with posting, and stuff like that:

A lot of pages(like, find members and I can't go to any other pages on the CF upgraded after 5 days of downtime thread but the latest page) keep giving me an error code and that I can't even post without getting a Fatal error: Cannot access parent:: when current class scope has no parent in /home/cf/public_html/includes/class_bbcode_alt.php on line 402 no matter what I do!! I would post this in the bugs thread but it won't let me! *cries* anyway, my PM works but I can't really get to anybody's PM thingy. help help!!

I’m finding a whole lot of problems trying to use this site with Firefox. It isn’t just that some aspects of it don’t look right; it’s actually making some of them difficult to use. I hope Erwin is still intending to work on this some more, since the way it is now I may not want to stay here for much longer.

When a page is loading (mostly problematic on the UserCP page) it is constantly shifting to the left and right of the screen as it adjusts the graphics for, I believe, the black borders. Not wanting to wait for the page to completely load (which seems slow) I've tried clicking into threads, but have ended up unsubscribing to them instead because the page shifted right as I clicked.

So, while I generally like the new look of CF, I've noticed that the dark image that lies behind the site is what appears to be two mini-rail guns, possibly attached to a mecha? I don't know, but it strikes me as incongruous.

The new site is also slower loading than the old one. I've tested it on all three of my machines (2 running W2K with IE, one running XP with IE) and I've noticed about a 3 second longer loading time for just about everything I've done so far.

It was an APC (PHP cache server software) bug which I have kind of fixed causing the posting problems. Let's see how it goes.

I'm also going to double the RAM on the webservers at a cost of a $1,000 to see if that would help...
