CF Upgrade Completed after 5 days of downtime!

Posting is spotty - I've posted thrice before this post - they showed up in the thread after posting, even refreshing, but when I go to CP they do not register and then when I go back to the thread they don't show in the threads either.... wonder if this one will

also: "Latest" {posts} is empty even though there have been obvious "latest" posts

All the changes look GREAT!!

My screen/fonts is/are *very* tiny - the gray side bars are about 1.75 inches on both sides, with the lighter gray forum section in the middle - all screen fonts are visually about 8 point

also the copy paste function seems to be unavailable - "copy" does not show up w/(R) click and even in "advanced" reply the copy/paste edit tools do not show in the options

this is gonna be GREAT when all the bugs, bells and whistles are ironed out as always - mind your health and IRL - sleep, eat and love cyber can wait!

I have a weird problem, threads randomly disappear from my subscriptions and I can't add them again... some of them appear again there after some time. And they are not deleted or something like that... they are still there and I can post in them, they just don't appear on my subscription list anymore.

It was an APC (PHP cache server software) bug which I have kind of fixed causing the posting problems. Let's see how it goes.

I'm also going to double the RAM on the webservers at a cost of a $1,000 to see if that would help...

I am glad that the downtime is over and that the upgrade seems to be done, and many thanks to you Erwin for getting us up and running in all of your free time. But it does not work on Firefox. I know not everyone uses Firefox but a great deal of us have made the switch and it is second inline behind IE at the moment.

To understand what i mean I would suggest downloading it and seeing for yourself. It aint pretty

Anyway I am not complaining about all your hard work on this, just pointing out a bug that I have seen.

Impressive. I'm having to use Opera to see the site not stretched out horizontally, but from this browser it looks pretty good indeed. I'd imagine there's still quite a few bugs to work out, but as a work in progress, it looks great.

I’m finding a whole lot of problems trying to use this site with Firefox. It isn’t just that some aspects of it don’t look right; it’s actually making some of them difficult to use. I hope Erwin is still intending to work on this some more, since the way it is now I may not want to stay here for much longer.

Relax, he will work on it, rember it took 5 days for 1 person to recode most if not all of the PHP on this site. He will work on it, it just may take a few more days.

I've seen more than one person say the forums are moving slower, but I've found the posting to actually go faster, for the most part.

For whatever that is worth.

I noticed that too. I hit View All Subscribed Threads and was then able to see my missing thread. Maybe that'll work for you!

Can we get the number 2 default font size back? This number 1 everywhere is really hard for us oldsters to see. Also the regular avatars won't change...but get a message which says administrator has to add that feature to the domain??? Thankx....and prayers....
