well I copied/pasted my armory list onto an email so it's all good in that department. yay.

anyway this question might have been asked before of course, but do we lose our buddy lists?

also will we be able to customize stuff like fonts, font color in posts, and in custom titles and stuff? I really like those features.

I hope the upgrade is compatible with windows 2000. I'm not one of the windows XP folks. Can't afford to get windows XP at this time.

No. They will carry over.

I've accessed CF with a bunch of different operating systems and computers. It should work fine with anything.

Text works fine minus formatting

Yuppers... I use the Text option when downloading my pms.

Please explain how to download a PM

1. Go into your private messages
2. Scroll down to the very bottom of the page
3. You should see some options on the lower right hand side of the screen...
a. date and time
b. "Selected Messages: Move to Folder... arrow and Go
c. Download all private messages as:

4. Click on either: XML/CSV/Text... I clicked on Text.
5. You will have a box pop up titled "File Download" with options.
6. click on "Save".
7. Another box will pop up... On the top of the box, there is an option titled: "Save in:"

8. Click on the arrow - right hand of the Save in box.
9. Pick which folder you would like to save your pms in... I picked my documents.

10. File Name should say "private messages".... and the date click on "Save".

11. When your computer has finished saving the data, you will hear a sound indicating that it's done.

I hope this is helpful.

They're just changing the appearance of the site because of the new software - an upgrade of the existing software. Nowhere did anyone (other than A4T) mention in any way that there would be a shift in focus to social networking. Just the opposite, in fact, the new statement of faith says the focus will be Christian inreach.

its still a forums mainly its the CF Homepages/profiles thats will be the most differant

as for living avatars that will in theory only improve cf characters aslong as we keep the current items look (which we will)

then there won't be much differance

Ok also reading this it looks like we'll either be allowed the Avatar (The Image on the Right) or the CF Dollie (The Images on the Left)
Now if anyone has a CF Dollie that they really really don't want to loose, PM me & I'll take a snapshot & make a JPEG (Single Layer) of the CF Dollie & Host it on my site.

I am also interested in knowing how socks will be limited? I run a game here with one of my socks and depending on what limitations are placed, it could create issues??

Please advise ASAP on any limitations on sock accounts?

Oh good grief! I think I'm just going to cross my fingers and hope. I've read up to pg 21 and all the "save as", "print screens", "save HTML", and "save texts" and I'm just as confused as before I even started.

I hate the thought of losing my CF dollie, or having to transfer things, or losing my signature or avatar or whatever I have in my measly PMs (don't ask me how I managed to clear them out before), or my health, or my rep points, or half the other things I'm used to, but if it's to be, well, I guess it's to be.

You will lose none of those things...
the only thing you need to worry about saving are any grpahics you may have used as backgrouns on your profile
