"CF2" is just the internal name for the upgrade...you get into CF2 by going to christianforums.com on Tuesday.

so all the internal links will remain the same right?

havent gotten through this entire thread yet but before I forget - in the new guestbooks will we be able to edit or delete unwanted posts (such as photobucket images that have broken links),

and in our blogs and the in OPs of threads will we be able to edit the subject line?

will we still have a custom Nav bar and if so will our current nav bar transfer or will we have to reset it manually?

any more news about the pets? if we do have to loose any can we just loose those that are on acclounts that have not been signed into in say over a year (as if we ever can predict or pick and choose what goes wrong in these types of things LOL)

ugh I have a lot of concerns about what I am reading here - can people steal other peoples pets - put spells on other pets etc this dont sound very friendly and a whole lot more expansive than we have now. IF these are the pets we are converting to then I dont see any point in managing the pets here as it seems the old pets will become nonexistant - from what I am reading

Honestly...dunno. I'm sure that most will but there might be a change here or there (just speculating). From what I've seen stuff is categorized fairly similarly...but I've only seen strawmen and not the real thing.

I really don't know. Staff will be able to but I'm not sure which features are available to general membership. I've seen a similar deployment but I have staff access so I don't know what a normal page looks like. I'll ask.

Probably not. Dunno about the blogs as I've 1) never used one here 2) never moderated one and 3) don't have a plan to start blogging. As for thread titles...that is a function of the staff toolset.

There is something similar but it works completely different. I'd suggest saving your links offline. I'm not sure how the import works (not a techy type...)

The pets will use a completely different engine so unsure...probably need to contact someone with more knowledge. I'd venture to guess that 90% of all stuff will be imported successfully. For some of the other stuff it may have to be recreated...which I guess is the price one pays for substantially increased functionality. Then again 100% may import correct...dunno. Then again, I don't have a doll, pet, big profile page etc so it's a bit beyond my scope...

From what I understand, even though this is the system we are currently using too, when Erwin first introduced it, some of those features were not liked very much by members, and so they were turned off. I agree there are some not very good things (at all) if all the features were enabled.
