CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yes, I intend to use the "high" generated from Christmas to spur things on, and then continue along that not for the rest of the year

Well, somehow I got myself into an arguement, well not on purpose i was just trying to be nice and state some things that i felt, i wasn't being argumentive, and then when i was told that i was wrong, and that i should stop arguing, but i wasn't, and then i tried to apologize just in case, but i was told to basically shut up and that i was closed minded, so after that i just left the thread it was no use...it was sad, i have been noticing that a lot of people have no been on lately, maybe it's partly holidays, but there are TOO many people that haen't been seen around here, even beofre break and stuff not many around...anyway, i haven't been on much becase of being busy, but when i am im trying to make things more peacfeul...it's difficult tho
