  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I feel like its so difficult to keep up with CF activity, especially being limited on internet for 2 years. There are people I've known for some years now I see different symbols for their Christian faith? More than one I've seen become agnostic or seeker:( This makes me sad and I just don't know where to begin to ask the question with them...especially since i've been gone so long. Much of the community I felt a part of has gone away in some form or another, marriage or maybe drama pushed them away.
Its very much like what I've seen in church.

Any thoughts?

I've been on countless forums in the last ten years or so and it's a fact that many folks come & go all the time. There are times when the forum is smokin' with chatter and then it will become a dead-zone for weeks on end? I think seasons have a great deal to do with that as well.

When winter is upon us and we spend more times indoors, forums seem to heat up quite a bit. Then summer comes and folks have all of these outdoor activities they enjoy and the forum becomes as quiet as a funeral home? It's hard to guess these things and you just need to go with the flow and not worry about what you should say or not say, even if you have been away for a while?

I've been on old west forums, shooting forums, acting forums, city forums, health forums, spiritual forums, etc... and they all have about the same pace when it comes to hot & cold times on the forums. It's the nature of the beast! At one time I was a member of something like 22 forums at the same time and I had to cut way back simply because I was spending entirely too much time on the computer. That also can be a reason for hot & cold times on these forums.
