ah ha, that could be! There was a forum I used to post on where that was a theory about a particular poster, that he was pretending to be someone else so he could tell off half of the forum...lol It was entertaining.

The closest I ever came to having a "sock" account, was when I ghosted someone's name on another forum. The guy was a complete tool. So, I decided to...punish...him. I ghosted his account. His forum name was BOBO. I created an account called B0B0, but with the font used, they looked identical. I then proceeded to post some seriously strange "dialogs". Everyone on the forum thought the guy was having a psychotic break because he seemed to be debating himself. Then, he began to threaten to track me/himself down and kill me/himself. I checked the "who's online" section and there were nearly 100 forum members sitting on the same thread. LOL

He didn't come back after that.
