so the other day my area manager came into our store to check on things... I guess he's openly gay... So I come in from starbucks with a coffee and a banana... He looks me up and down and goes "so is that a banana in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

everyone else working that day heard it and they were behind him losing it, but silently cuz they didn't want him to hear them cracking up, and I could barely keep a straight face. most awkward start to a shift ever haha.

Ugh.

Similiar story from when I was in my 20's. Just got a temp job with a bunch of other guys huffin furniture around and putting some desks and what not together for a new furniture store. Everyone there was temp and so we didn't know each other and neither our managers.

The managers acted a bit...effeminate - but just barely - almost hard to pick up...but a couple of the guys during smoke break sort of wondered out loud.

So, one of these guys was working with one of the managers putting together this piece of furniture, which involved using wood screws to hold the parts together.

At some point during this, the worker looked directly into the manager's eyes and said "Wanna screw?" The manager blinked, took a deep breath and said "yeah"

...at which point the worker handed him a wood screw.

Almost wished he hadn't done that to satisfy his curiousity - because then everyone knew and the gay managers who were only slightly effeminate before became real flamboyant flamers. It was *not* pretty.
