if the tribulation lasts for 7 years , then are the gentiles only going to lay siege to the holy city for 3.5 years, and which 3.5 years, first half or second half ?

God's two prophets are only going to hold witness against the beast for 3.5 years.......................why ? and keep in mind after their witness is completed they are killed then afterwards raised up from death in the first resurrection

God is only going to protect the true church for 3.5 years, again which............ the first or second half and then they are left to fend for themselves against satan the other 3.5 years ? what happened to Christ's promise "I am always with you"

Notice the first four trumpets in Rev. 8 last 1260 days which hurt the earth, and this is also the time when the Vatican is nuked (17.16).

Daniel was first told there would be a great time of trouble then following in this verse he was told that it would last 3.5 years also

just why is God withholding vital information from his servants and not telling them that the tribulation is going to be longer than what they were told....................specifically Daniel and John ????

holding to a 7year tribulation just leaves us with a contradiction between the premise and what scripture is teaching, scripture keeps saying 3.5 years.....................

The reason why the Great Tribulation is 3.5 years is because the Antichrist reigns in the Temple at that time.

I've never pushed a date back ever. The Tribulation is still 2,520 days from Feast of Trumpets Sept. 14, 2015 to Tisha B'Av Aug. 7, 2022.

I only used the year 2023 as a starting point to derive the Tribulation. But you would have known that if you read carefully and conscientiously enough the opening post.

The Prince who shall come shall confirm the covenant with many for seven years to begin the 7 years. What bible passage do you refer to regarding the confirming of the covenant to be on the Feast of Trumpets?

Oh good grief - the latest empty Futuristic speculation. First it was 40 years (a generation) after the formation of modern day Israel in 1948. 1948 + 40 = 1988. 1988 came and went and was selectively forgotten.

Next it was stated that the "correct" starting date was actually 1967 with the capture of Jerusalem. So 1967 + 40= 2007. This also came and went - and was forgotten. Now it is 1948 + 75 years (the new generation definition) so this will be in 2023. What happened to the "Correct" starting date of 1967? Maybe the next speculation will be 75 years after the 1967 war which equals 2042.

With a negative credibility rating why would anyone believe this stuff. Not one futuristic speculation has come to pass in the last 60 years despite the fact that there are thousands of them.

Best not to put dates on speculations, but rather try to keep them all in the future where you cannot be proven to be wrong.

"Seven year covenant" is the same as "the covenant is confirmed for seven years".

Not it is not the same.

The convenant is confirmed for 7 years because it is cyclical requirement.

Back in Deuteronomy 31, the Israelite s, the second generation were about to go into the promised land. Moses gave the order even though he knew that he would not be accompanying them. So Moses made a requirement to commemorate the event of them entering the promised land.

That requirement was every 7 years, for all future generations, his orders to go in and possess the land would be read to the entire congregation of Israel on the feast of tabernacles, at the place of God's choosing.

So it is the Mt. Sinai covenant which will be confirmed for the 7 year cycle, as the Antichrist, in the false King (messiah, anointed) of Israel stage of his career, will oversee the reading from the temple mount, resetting the cycle.

The place of God's choosing, the Jews take to be the temple mount. Of course this has not been done for 2000 years because the Jews have not been allowed to do so by the authorities in power.

This shows the False Prophet began his time period in 1967 when Jerusalem was unlawfully taken. For every prophet needs access to Jerusalem as Jesus told us. His time is for 70 years just like the captivity in Babylon was for 70 years. Then the date would be similarily to what you say above, 2037 or 2040AD. That is because the "hour of temptation" which calculates as 40 years began after six millenniums had passed in the year 2000AD

The change from following the stict governmental Beast(sin is in the law), of our parents generation was challenged in 1967 by the hippy freedom movement. These hippies were following the tune of freedom played by the false prophet on his flute. This first generation of hippies followed freedom so thoughlessly that today they have ruined almost all of the 2000 years of Christian civilization that was built up by their faithful ancestors. Today the Christian world is still following this false piper and will continue until he is killed in Jerusalem.

For Jesus said, "it cannot be that a prophet is killed outside of Jerusalem."

I almost don't know where to begin. Regarding the Antichrist and the beast, it is not a simple matter of one person involved. It is two different persons. One an end times individual. The other an ancient individual, who in disembodied spirit form is in the bottomless pit right now.

Right before there are 42 months left in the seven years, the Antichrist will have been slain and miraculously comes back to life, and is possessed by the spirit of the ancient individual in the bottomless pit, Nimrod imo. Combined, the result is the Antichrist beast who rules the world for that final 42 months.

Before then, the beast resides in the bottomless pit and doesn't come out.

So up until the Antichrist is possessed by the beast ascending out of the bottomless pit, the Antichrist has a career of his own. And because of the nature of his career, he has to be a Jew, for one of the stages.

• We are talking about a Jew who rises to political heights to become leader of Europe;
• who then comes to the rescue of the Jews when Gog/Magog takes place;
• who then is seen by the Jews as their promised great King of Israel, messiah or christ;
• who for some reason apparently sells himself out to Satan and becomes the man of sin;
• who the Jews drop like a hot potato as their messiah;
• who is slain and miraculously recovers, and the beast in the bottomless pit ascends out of to possess him.

Unless Prince William is a Jew, he cannot be the Antichrist.

your scenario is a concoction of pure imagination...........you have dead people being resurrected and at the same time inhabiting (possession) other peoples' bodies..................after men die there is only one that has power of resurrection and it certainly isn't satan.................

your first mistake was identifying the beast as a person when scripture had already made clear what the symbol of the beast is.................ie..............a world ruling empire................it's first made clear by Nebuchadnezzar's dream then Daniel's dreams and visions

Daniel tells Nebuchadnezzar what the image means, each of it's metal parts represents kingdoms then Daniel is told that the beasts represent the same thing in his dreams and visions...............

in both Nebuchadnezzar's dream and Daniels dreams and visions it's shown that the last of these world ruling empires would exist right up to the time of Christ's return, both showing that Christ destroys this final revival of the last of the kingdoms......which is obviously the Roman Empire.................

now to top that all off John again is shown Daniel's beasts conglomerated into one Beast since the Roman empire is the only one that existed before John and during his time and it would rise back up in the future end time and Christ would destroy it

in a sense John is taught what Daniel was already taught hundreds of years earlier...........the obvious difference being that Revelation is much more detailed and this prophecy is not sealed up as far as being able to understand it as Daniels prophecy was

Whenever you see the number 1260. Daniel's final seven is 2,520 days like all the other sevens, and it is the smallest number divisible by 2 to 10.

After the first four trumpets (Rev. 8.7) of the Tribulation of 1260 days then comes the 3 woes or last 3 trumpets (Rev. 9-11) which are 1260 days.
