CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

While working in a clothing store, I noticed that people had no shame about returning items that obviously had been worn. One rainy morning I walked in and found a discolored blazer hanging on the rack with other returns.
"People return the most filthy, nasty things," I commented to my supervisor who was standing nearby.
Eyebrow raised, she said, "That's my jacket."

My actual holidays aren't for another week and a half...not trying to rush them too much tho, when I get back summer will be over.
I'm doing good. I spent the past coupld of days with a friend in need which, I hope, went really well. I just got home this afternoon (I was at her place when posting earlier
) and am planning on taking it easy (as much as I can with a 4 year old) for the rest of the day.I hope you get all you need to get done, done...with time left over to enjoy some peace!

I went outside a bit ago and get this - the humidity is lifting and now it's just hot which actually feels good. About 98F worth of hot but NO HUMIDITY!

I sure feel for your mom! I had Sciatica for a year, it was a killer. Anything pressing on a nerve is a horrible pain. Praying the swelling of her hernia keeps going down!!!She's doing well...thank you.She'll be in pain one way or another...even if she has the surgery she no doubt needs. But she'd rather not go under the knife again. I think she'll just go to the chiropractor to alleviate the pain once in awhile.
