I am sure that it its possible to be Christian and Catholic. (and Christian and Orthodox, and Christian and Protestant)
Why are you willing to excuse the fact that Catholics follow the Catechism, but not willing to excuse the fact that Mormons follow the Book of Mormon?I am sure that it its possible to be Christian and Catholic. (and Christian and Orthodox, and Christian and Protestant)
Evidence such as...? All you've provided us with thus far is your say-so, which does not count as evidence at all, no matter how much you'd like it to.
The fact that the earth is round can be proven scientifically. How exactly can you prove that Mormons and JWs aren't Christians?Thousands of people also think the earth is flat.
Catholics think that people should pray to saints, rather than to God Himself. Why don't you count that against them? And what about all of the Conservative Christian churches that exclude GLBT people from their congregations, why don't you count that against them?As I pointed out they think that there are three Gods, this is not possible for Christians as we are monotheistic. They also exclude other Christians from the universal Church, this also counts against them.
(For the Mormons at least.)
So you think that Christianity should be legalistic and exclusionistic?Biblically and by looking at Church doctrine. (Four Marks of the Church, Apostles' Creed, Nicene Creed, etc.)

Wow. You think that GLBTs shouldn't even be allowed to attend church as part of the congregation? I'm stunned. How the heck can you justify that with the fact that Jesus Himself said to "love your neighbor as yourself"? Or do you think that excluding people is a loving thing to do?Not true. Some Catholics look at it that way but i'm pretty sure that's not the Churches official stance. I also believe in the communion of the Saints, that we can all pray to God for each other. (After they're dead...idk but it is not so important.)
GLBT should be excluded. But this too is not a core Christian belief, at least not yet.
Word it any way you like, but what it comes down to is that you'd rather not love all of your neighbors like Jesus commanded us to, but you'd rather just love a certain few of your neighbors. I sure hope you don't think that Jesus approves of your mindset.I believe Christians should be cautious and protective of the Bride.
I don´t know what point you are trying to make here in response to my post. There is a very definitive group of Christians that are part of the Universal Church. These include most protestant, most Roman Catholic, and many Orthodox. (Can't say everyone because there are always the "Sunday morning Christians" and other fakers.)

And actually, it is the Church's official stance, since that has been a part of Catholicism for thousands of years.

I myself am bisexual, so are you saying that I should be kept from attending any sort of church at all just because of the way I was born? (And yes, I was born this way. I can tell you from first-hand experience that being bisexual is not a choice.)If you really think that's what i'm doing, then so be it. If you can't see that caring for people is not always sugar and spice, whatever.
Also, i'm not saying that they need to change right away. I only mean that it is part of becoming a Christian. Nor would I be so bold if I had not personally dealt with this issue.
You worded it wrong though, and they are not wrong nor is it fundamental in the first place.
Yes, your branch of Christianity is monotheistic. Theirs isn´t.As I pointed out they think that there are three Gods, this is not possible for Christians as we are monotheistic.
Other Christians? I understood that you were saying they weren´t Christians themselves. They also exclude other Christians
Ah, so excluding other self-proclaiming Christians from the universal Church counts against someone. They also exclude other Christians from the universal Church, this also counts against them.
Please don't change the topic. I was talking about how you want to exclude people from the church. I don't see how that has anything to do with what people are going to say about the church. You want the Church to be a hoar? To let anyone say anything they want about Her?
