  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My dads friend has about 10 chickens. One day one of his older chicks went missing and he thought it had gone through a tiny gap in the fence.A few days after another older chick went missing and so he went around the neighbourhod to ask if anyone had seen it.In the end he found out that there was a large cat that had been causing trouble with other bird owners on the street.Hes pretty sure that thats the cause of the missing chickens and so he want to know how to stop it from doing it again.Does anyone have any suggestions?.:help:

keep the chickens securely enclosed so the cat can't get to them

as a responsible pet owner, i make sure my cat can't get into situations like that, he has free run of the house, but can also go outside into a large caged area - it protects wildlife (and any local chickens!) AND it protects HIM from harm too - but you can't force a neighbour into fencing in their cat, so best solution otherwise is to fence in the chickens - securely
