I think I am supposed to be able to upload pictures now after my 100th post. I am going to try.
Below is a picture from 3D seismic of a buried, subaerial canyon from Indonesia. The sharp and angular form of the erosion requires that it occur above sea level.
I will also link a topo map of the Grand canyon. One can see the sharp angularity of the landforms match what we see on the seismic.
