Cannot stop crying

Found out my dog was killed by a car on Friday - i have been looking for him and calling for him, calling people.
Someone called me back to describe my dog to me including his red shock collar. [which broke and it happened the same day the other one arrived]

Let him go out and he took off [because he loved to run and play and would always come back] Even without the collar working he didnt stay gone for too long. He was missing since Friday morning. The same day he was hit. [the guy told me what day it was]

My big beautiful sweet gentle dog is gone and my heart hurts.

I knew he had died. But i am not posting why i knew... on the forum.

WarriorAngel, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I understand how you feel. A family pet of ours died several years ago and I still grieve over his loss. That said, I am praying for you. You have my fullest sympathies.

We just had to put our little girl down last week, but it was so much different because she was old and suffering.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. I am so sorry to hear this. We had to put our dog, Gina, down a year ago August. We still miss her terribly. The loss of a beloved pet can leave a bigger hole in our hearts that the loss of a human friend.
