  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I am thinking about the link Michie has - might be spending time there. When i can - i will be back.
I just dont have a lot of talk in me right now. I just want to mourn. I am doing a lot better than i thot i would. Its not all day for hours like when i lost my other dog when i was younger.
BUT - i have kids now to preoccupy me.

I take loss pretty hard... which is why i dont have too much to say right now in the threads.
Plus i have all the symptoms of depression... in stereo.

 And thanks.

My cats went missing in Summer, it turns out they got stolen and had something done to them...
I know how you feel. It must be terrible. I will pray for you.
God bless you!

I understand how you feel too. Had my kitties stolen once. I dont know what happened to them.
I am sorry.

I am still missing him. It hasnt been two weeks yet. I miss his bark letting me know i have a delivery or visitor.

Slowly i am putting away his stuff. I almost hate to do it because it has finality in it. At the same time it keeps striking me i will not [on earth] ever see him again.

It is so hard to believe....he ...is...gone.
He was so young and energetic yet. A faithful and friendly pooch.

:( I still look outside but my heart reminds me, he isnt out there playing anymore.

When my first cat died, not suddenly (cancer), I still expected to see her and often thought I did. I couldn't get used to her absence until about 6 months or so had passed.

Mourning can take years. I'm still not over the death of my third/fourth (one of a pair, the other half survived) cat who died very suddenly 3.5 years ago. The suddenness of her death, and us not being at home when it happened, made it harder than the death of my first cat because I had time to say goodbye to her and she died on my dad's lap.

yah, sudden is always hardest.

My cat, Thelma, died like that. She was laying next to the couch and looked splayed out to be scratched but she was dead. It was a sad time and my daughter did a prayer card for her and we have her buried in the backyard.

Anyhow, I have always found it odd but soothing that when I am sad I like to listen to a sad song. So, this one is for you WA.
