According to the US Department of Commerce, America had a -$17.05 billion trade deficit with Canada for goods in 2017 but registered a +$25.4 billion trade surplus in services!
Given that the US already had a +$8.35 billion trade surplus with Canada in 2017, one wonders as to why "The Great Leader" decided to scrap the NAFTA agreement with not only our largest trading partner, but also one with which America enjoys a positive trade balance?
If "The Donald," had actually taken the time to peruse his own trade statistics he would have realized that renegotiating the current NAFTA agreement with Canada makes no economic sense?
