Can you play this Cash song? Need help

I am trying to learn a simple Johnny cash song on the guitar but im having trouble learning how to get the right sound, the problem is in my strumming.

Is there anyone here who knows how to play Johnny Cash-Big River? Can you help me understand how to strum this song? I know its probably simple but i just cant get it right.

Well, after studying various youtube videos covering different ways to play this song i did manage to come up with a strum pattern that sounds good, its prolly not exactly how these guys played it, nor like Mr cash played it, but it will work for me.
