I see. If it were up to me, I suppose we'd put 'em back in...but how to do that humanely?

I was asking you as you have said that the biblical level of punishment, execution, was inappropriate so what level would be appropriate?

Additionally how do you plan to amended the constitution to make that possible?

Good point.
Perhaps we could stop coddling them?

Historically, all 50 states in the union and nearly all Western countries have had anti-sodomy laws on the books at some point in their history. Few people were actually prosecuted under them, but they did serve the purpose of keeping sewage in the sewers.

On the other hand, more recently Russia has come up with a new appraoch to that issue. We can sit back and see how that works.

Tell us then, how does one know if they are on the right path, how does one confirm so?
One is on the "right path" if they are following Jesus Christ. You "confirm it" by checking with Him.

Execution was appropriate at the time. God was establishing a new nation, separate from the nations around them. The penalties for breaking His law at that time were harsh, as they needed to be.
However, I don't remember reading anything about anyone actually being stoned under that law...

It is possible to repeal an amendment to the Constitution...the precedent has already been set. I suppose I'd repeal the 14th and rewrite it to make sure there was no loophole for sexual perversion to poke it's ugly butt through...

Please fill us in, Soldier. How is Russia handling the sewage?

What if one person who has a different path than you says they checked with him and he said they are good to go?

Who gets to decide what sexual perversion is?

Well, then, I'd say that's between him and God. I'm just following...I'm not the One Who leads...

Why, God, of course.
And He has pretty much limited sex to one man and one woman in a committed marriage relationship.

Anything that doesn't meet a biblical description of appropriate sex, should then be labeled a sexual perversion and laws made to prohibit the same?

Right now, most world religions seem to be backing away from this issue.
However, the fact is that most religions would favor the family, as this is the basic unit of our society. Therefore, although I realize that many dear people of other faiths have become "politically correct", I believe that most other faiths would also reject ssm.
Remember, there are Christians who support ssm, happily disregarding or rewriting Bible verses that condemn homosexuality...many of them because they are gay. But we know the verses are there...

Yeah, it costs something to be true to our faith.
But it's worth it.

And I defend your right to personally live by your faith. I also defend those who disagree with your specific interpretation of faith.

Would you still defend my right to personally live by my faith if I refused to bake my famous chocolate cookies with peanut butter chips for a gay pride party?

Each cookie has a little Reese's mini cup pressed into the top...

If you had a public accommodating business in which you refused and sexual orientation was a protected class, I would say you should be held accountable to the law.

If you chose to discriminate against sexual orientation in a state that allows you to do so, I would disagree with your decision, but you would be legally allowed to do so.

My state still allows me that choice, at least for now.
Would you defend my right to live according to my faith, and not bake the cookies?

Let's put it this way; if you lived in a state that had sexual orientation as a protected class, the right does not exist to refuse. In your state as you claim, sexual orientation is not a protected class, so you could likely get away with it.

If you chose to not serve a portion of the public and you are legally allowed to, you are allowed to do so and I would support the legality of you being allowed to do so, but I would strongly disagree with any owner of a public accommodating business, who refuses to serve the public for religious reasons.

Where did you ever get the idea that "hippy" meant advocating indiscriminate sex, the use of drugs, or refusing to take a bath?
I've also heard that we ate cat food and that we were all sniveling cowards, etc...
None of this is true.
How do I know?
Uh...there was a time when you would have found me in my bellbottoms, bare feet, peasant top, with my hair long and loose and banded, handing out flowers and telling people how much Jesus loves them and that we needed love, not war. I have lived on a commune with other "Jesus Freaks" and listened to Janice wail, and Arlo Guthrie sing about "Alice's Restaurant"...just like any other "Sixties Flower Child".
Yeah...we changed the world...and it was a wonderful, innocent time to grow up.
Have you taken a peek at today's young generation? Indiscriminate sex? Drugs? Whew...you gotta be kidding!
I was not talking about the Jesus Freaks; (I was one of them myself) but the "tune in turn on drop out" hippies that followed Leary and others.

I need to learn MY history???????

At what point have I said anything that is incorrect, or that in any way disagrees with your mist recent post?

until the 1950's the majority of blacks were registered GOP. That is a fact.
You don't know enough facts, then, and you have presented what little you do know disingenuously.
