Is it okay to not forgive them in this case? I mean, they aren't exactly sorry about it, after all. If they were to apologize I would forgive this person immediately, but the fact that they don't even seek forgiveness when they are clearly in the wrong is bothersome. I know I am compelled to pray for them, but do I even feel like it right now? Nope!
>_< Gah. What do you think???????
God says if we want Him to forgive us we have to forgive others.
If we don't forgive them He won't forgive us.
Forgiving is more about your attitude than about the other person and what they did or their attitude towards you.
Forgiving means to not want to hurt them back, to be vengeful, it's not about forgetting what they did to you it's about letting go of wanting to retaliate.
Forgiving and forgetting are hard for us to do for both the mistakes we do ourselves and what is done by friends and family to us that is why we need to pray for daily help in forgiving.
The great thing about God is that He can control what He remembers and forgets so if He forgives you for a specific sin He forgets it forever.
