Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Can we fall from grace ?

Yes, a corrupt tree brings forth corrupt fruit. And Paul says if a person sows to his or her own flesh, the person shall of the flesh reap corruption. Galatians 6:7-8) So, this corruption is a consequence of sinning . . . how we get into the evil spirit of disobedience if we sin. There is "the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience," Paul says in Ephesians 2:2. There is emotional degradation in the wrong spirit which has us sin. So, even if God does not actually punish us, there is what we become inside ourselves because of disobeying God in the wrong spirit. For example, when ones argue, they get degraded from love, and they get hurt. "Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation," Paul says in Philippians 2:14-16. So, by doing things without complaining and arguing we can become blameless, harmless, and without fault . . . even right "in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation". So, in this life, in this evil world, we can become "without fault", by becoming strong in love that keeps us from arguing and complaining. By becoming real in God's love, this works, now. So, living free of sin has to do with how we become in God's love and how He has us loving. Instead of complaining, we appreciate and enjoy and thank our Father. And instead of arguing, we stay pleasant and in rest in God's love, and "submitting to one another in the fear of God." (Ephesians 5:21) "with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love," (Ephesians 4:2) So, instead of worrying about if we could lose our salvation, stay busy with seeking and submitting to God for His correction (Hebrews 12:6-11) and how He has us loving (1 John 4:17-18) :) There are people who read the Bible but only think of the bad possibilities and issues, instead of doing all the word of God means for us to do and discover with Him and each other. When we read God's word, it is not wise to just think of bad possibilities and problems. Because God is able to have us succeed in all He means by whatsoever He says ! ! ! :) "'So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; . It shall not return to Me void, . But it shall accomplish what I please, . And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.'" . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . (Isaiah 55:11)

I like it !
But we should worry about the bad to!!!
It's wisdoms and understanding you obtain through reading meditation on the word

You have to have the fear of the LORD
in you that is to believe in consequence to sin!!

And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding. ([bless and do not curse]Job‬ [bless and do not curse]28‬:[bless and do not curse]28‬ KJV)

to sin is clearly bad, it will affect our peace, joy etc, it cannot though affect our salvation. Allow me to use an example, a debt company has been chasing you for 1 million pounds, a friend says don't worry i will pay it, the debt is cleared, for some reason another letter falls on your doorstep, perhaps sent after the payment, saying pay this 1 million pounds or you will be jailed, you immediately panic, worry, pull your hair cry or whatever, yet if you stop to think you should know the debt was payed and the company are either in error or trying to take liberties.

Not only can you loose salvation but it's worse
To know better and turn to sin
Then to not know any better

There is no sacrifice for willing sin
After obtaining the knowledge
Hebrews 10:26

Jesus says forgive them father for they do not know what they do!

For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. there is no scripture where a saved Christian has lost their salvation.

either the blood cleanses you for all time or it is useless to you if you were not around when Jesus died.

I know and it just so obvious.

I really think without a revelation of Christ as your life and the Holy Spirit revealing the deep things of God from the Scriptures We just can't see what is plainly written in the Pauline epistles anyway. We are so inundated with religion man's interpretation and so on that it's a real miracle for the word to open up to us.
I know for myself I was 10 years in the Lord before I begin to realize there may be something I don't know LOL

I have always believed in true Grace and OSAS even though the first few fellowships are attended were quite lawful in preaching and teaching, I could not understand why people would want to beat themselves up about being good enough or not being good enough when it seemed so obvious that the work was already done, I still remember the reactions to some of the things I said, i think they wanted to shout heretic and herd me out, I must admit I did get to the point where i questioned if I was just being stupid and too simplistic, surely these people who had gone to bible seminars and colleges, been tenth generation Christians knew more than me.
I guess for some reason the Holy spirit gave me a head start.

Well I wasn't quite so lucky I went to the whipping post ever Sunday sometimes Wednesday usually to get re-saved. The law preaching was so deep that if Holy Spirit was leading to see things in the Scriptures some the preaching came across in such a way of condemnation that you felt lost by the time the message was over. Thank God for the Holy Spirit he saved my life By teaching me Christ and revealing Christ in me to me and to see Christ in other believers what we believe really doesn't matter to the Lord in whom we believe will hold some water.

Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul. ([bless and do not curse]Hebrews‬ [bless and do not curse]10‬:[bless and do not curse]38-39‬ KJV)

The next portion is the measure God will go to keep us sin free!

I do believe it has to be a mans time but I also know a lot of commentary and churches keep this stuff from us or tip toe around it or intentionally unintentionally misquote for what ever reason!

For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: ([bless and do not curse]2 Peter‬ [bless and do not curse]2‬:[bless and do not curse]4-9‬ KJV)

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. ([bless and do not curse]Galatians‬ [bless and do not curse]5‬:[bless and do not curse]1‬ KJV)

Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. ([bless and do not curse]Ezekiel‬ [bless and do not curse]3‬:[bless and do not curse]20‬ KJV)

none of them say you can lose your salvation.

not one scripture says a believer can lose their salvation.

I'll ask one more time what sin does the blood of Jesus cover?

Read it to the end

Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. You are quoting scripture that dont belong to you, we are under a new Covenant and have our own gospel that is written directly to the born-again. It comes directly through the apostle Paul it really needs to be studied for the believer to move on.

for it is by grace you are saved, that is direct scripture.

John 3:16New King James Version (NKJV)

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

just believe and have everlasting life.

That can't be what you hold on to sin for?

He promises everlasting life but it doesn't mean you can sin and not repent /turn from your sin.

Fear Gods promise he who sins shall surely die.

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. ([bless and do not curse]2 Corinthians‬ [bless and do not curse]7‬:[bless and do not curse]1‬ KJV)

Wow
I'm not 5 silly :)

Ok explain this passages meaning to me,
Please if you may

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. ([bless and do not curse]Galatians‬ [bless and do not curse]5‬:[bless and do not curse]16-21‬ KJV)
