Can someone explain what a "Snowflake" is?

To me, a "snowflake" is a stubborn and ignorant conservative who talks big and criticizes everyone else but is really a scared little mouse who sponges off other people for their entire life. What do you think a "snowflake" is?

it was THE insult from conservatives/republicans about liberals/democrats until someone pointed out: the last time Nazi's fought "snowflakes" (WWII) they lost. then it wasn't as cute/funny as they had originally thought.

So overall it appears to be a politically-tinged insult, which makes me wonder why it is not considered "flaming" to use it on CF? I guess I'll report it next time I see it and we'll see what happens.
