The big problem with these so-called "spiritual" gifts is that, even if true, it puts the focus of the credit on YOU. YOU have the power to project your soul elsewhere. YOU can see and hear spirits.

Let's get real. Even Ussain Bolt: fastest human runner. Does he even know how to make a leg? Or perhaps he knows how to craft just one strand of DNA, to make it program an organism to form legs? No. Even Ussain Bolt--has the power to run faster than anybody--doesn't even know how legs are made. He can put one in front of the other--that's it. The rest was given to him.

And we are to believe people have spiritual powers?? We still live on planet Earth--we have even less the slightest idea about the spiritual world. No. Spirits have spiritual powers. If we possess any at all, it's because spirits have done it for us. And you had doggone better make sure those spirits, and you, are of God. Because it's not you at all--it's them. And what THEY choose. That is not YOUR power at all.

Being Chinese, he had to explain to his congregation, who could see what Buddhist monks could do with their Soul power and a little demonic help, why they should not do that and come up with a Christian explanation. I've known enough saved occultists to know that these kinds of things are very real. Soul power is the power we humans have as Imagers that is innate to our mind, will and emotions. Spirit is very different. It's our third part, where intuition lives, and where the Holy Spirit dwells inside us. It's where we are grafted into Christ, where His Shekinah glory dwells inside His human temple. All our fruit of the Spirit is drawn out through the human Spirit and not the Soul. The importance of understanding this, is that some mistake Soul power for the work of the Holy Spirit. Soul power requires your own effort to use, while things coming through your Spirit do not, as they are coming from and through the Holy Spirit into you.

How's that saying go ? (on tv or somewhere else) "the truth?" "you can't handle the truth!" might be true of this to 95% of the world at large. Perhaps unfortunately, ? , more who are opposed to Jesus use the power than those who are abiding in Jesus, by far, in the world/society.
