Reverend Fred Phelps and his Westboro Baptist Church persecute gay people by picketing the funerals of gay men who have died of AIDS.

That’s not persecution, that’s inappropriate use of freedom of speech, thats not worse to many people than a gay pride march or festival such as Folsom Street. I think you have to come to terms with the fact that different people have different ideas.

Most Christians, of course, do not agree with Fred Phelps' statements, and many regard him as not truly a Christian. But he considers himself to be a Christian, and he claims that he is upholding God's word from scripture.

Well you judge him if you wish, all I am prepared to do is judge his views, which I think are basically Christian with regards same-sex sex being sin, but not that God hates anyone, that is as fundamentally flawed as believing same-sex sex is ok.

We have the word of God and the witness of the Holy Spirit to guide us, and alert us of error...plus we have the fellowship of the faithful to exhort, teach and warn us.

There is no power in Hinduism to regenerate a person to become like Christ. There is no salvation in it. Jesus is not in it. It is a dead, demonic religion, that believes in millions of gods. There is only ONE TRUE GOD.

I have faith that Christianity is the "right" religion... but evidence-wise? The Hindus got as much as we do.

Jesus was raised and walked this earth for weeks. His body is gone.

I know Him personally, and you claim to also. Why do you argue with people whom you are supposed to be agreeing with?
