• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

show me this quote of Pauls

you actually think God is in the habit of quoting words that are not His own? please...or "partially inspired" as you have implied

thats even worse

No, I think God allowed the others to reference extra biblical texts in an inspired, biblical, truthful manner. What about the book of Jasher or the book of Wars of the Lord... there's a lot of books referenced by Scripture that we don't have, or simply aren't Scripture.

taken outta context as insult

do you deny this?

I merely quoted your own words. But since you have such a problem with it, I'll delete the post.

Remember that the next time you quote one of us. Make sure you don't offend us, or we'll report you.

I don't have to run to mommy, like some do.

stop avoiding the point please

the book of enoch WAS scripture

it was removed and destroyed

theres a reason its quoted(Because they were well versed in it)

one of the reasons it has been removed is because it prophesies Jesus in many different places which the jews obviously don't like

it was labelled heretical for its information on the fallen angels who mated with women and they attempted to destroy it(were largely successful at that)

but it was preserved in Ethiopia and later found amongst the dead sea scrolls(oldest scripture known to exist)

and I said nothing of those other books and I have no knowledge on them worthy of posting

a partial quote as an insult is hardly the same thing as a full quote

please don't play dumb

"I'll just use a bunch of smart sounding words so it seems like I know what I'm talking about"

This was clearly an insult which i shrugged off, but since &Abel is trigger happy should this be reported ? Would you report this &Abel if we replied to you this way ?

Well you let the cat outta the bag!

This is why no one wants to listen to you. Your argument is entirely inconsistent.

Jude quotes Enoch in part. Yet you claim the entire book is inspired based on this. Jude never states it to be scripture, he never qualifies it with an " as it is written". Paul does the exact same thing in at least two other writers. And yet you would never claim their writings to be inspired Scripture.

Now there is no difference; you ought to accept all writings that are quoted in Scripture as equal with Scripture if you are planning on doing it with Enoch. End of story.

Proverbs 1(standard canon ;))

20(AB)Wisdom shouts in the street,
She lifts her voice in the square;
21At the head of the noisy streets she cries out;
At the entrance of the gates in the city she utters her sayings:
22"How long, O (AC)naive ones, will you love being simple-minded?
And (AD)scoffers delight themselves in scoffing
And fools (AE)hate knowledge?
23"Turn to my reproof,
Behold, I will (AF)pour out my spirit on you;
I will make my words known to you.
24"Because (AG)I called and you (AH)refused,
I (AI)stretched out my hand and no one paid attention;
25And you (AJ)neglected all my counsel

And did not (AK)want my reproof;
26I will also (AL)laugh at your (AM)calamity;
I will mock when your (AN)dread comes,
27When your dread comes like a storm
And your calamity comes like a (AO)whirlwind,
When distress and anguish come upon you.
28"Then they will (AP)call on me, but I will not answer;
They will (AQ)seek me diligently but they will not find me,
29Because they (AR)hated knowledge
And did not choose the fear of the LORD.
30"They (AS)would not accept my counsel,

They spurned all my reproof.
31"So they shall (AT)eat of the fruit of their own way
And be (AU)satiated with their own devices.
32"For the (AV)waywardness of the naive will kill them,
And the complacency of fools will destroy them.
33"But (AW)he who listens to me shall live securely
And will be at ease from the dread of evil."

I think this has gone about as far as it should be allowed. &Abel, either stick to the subject of the thread, or cease to post here. Your non-Biblical, non-inspired "scriptures" are unwanted, unrecognized, and actively rejected here. If you cannot make your point from the recognized Protestant Canon, then you will be asked to refrain from comment. Further posting of such stuff will be seen as an intent to derail the thread, brinking, and intentionally trying to provoke. Do I make myself clear?
