I hadn't thought of Stephen Fry. Someone I think would make an interesting bad guy would be a black actor called Lennie James...he is currently appearing in a US series called Jerico. He made a great Oberon in a recent BBC series of revamped Shakespeare plays...where he advises a husband

"You are going to go in there and tell her what every woman wants to hear, I'm sorry, you were right and I love you."

So where did you get the CF Tardis??? I WANT ONE!!!

I'm LOVING the new Who. Christopher Eccleston was brilliant in the first season and David Tennant is growing on me now as well. Of course I loved Tom B. in the old series -- saw more of him than any of the others.

Best villians -- the master, the daleks, the cybermen. When the daleks returned in the new Who with a concept of blasphemy, my fiance and I had our jaws on the floor!

Hi everyone!

I'm back!!

My favourite Doctor? I'm torn between the lastest Doctor, David Tennant, Tom Baker and Peter Davison...childhood memories, ahh.

Fave companion? A toss up between Sarah-Jane Smith and Rose Tyler (Billie did a great job, didn't she?)
I liked Bonnie Langford as Mel too.

Fave villain...the clockwork robots from 'Girl in the Fireplace'

My 12 year old son is an authority on Doctor Who, he really knows his stuff. Yay!!!

(secret handshake) bye for now!!!!

Good luck with that Violet.

Yes I found "Girl in the fireplace" a pretty creepy episode. Though at times pretty surreal, a spaceship, 17th century france and a horse!
Mel was an interesting companion, she was just "there" and it was never really explained in the series how she met the Doctor. Did they ever explain this in the books?

Here is an interesting dilemma....

Would you spend £100 (about $190) on a small piece of rubber and fur that is certified as being part of an original Dr Who monster costume from the Tom Baker era or do you spend £175 (about $330) on a rare Christopher Eccleston autograph?

Any interesting Autograph stories (if you collect them) ?

I wrote to Colin Baker's agent a while back and got a signed Panto flyer back.

A few years later I got a Mccoy at a convention who was really tired as his hotel fire alarm had gone off the night before.

I was pleased to get Yee tse Tso (played Chang in the movie)

Neither -- sorry. I like the show -- a lot -- but I don't feel the need to collect expensive keepsakes or anything. Though I admit to wanting a plastic pet dalek and a cyberman mask from the BBC site!! But those together are less than $100 USD

Pity we can't get together because I have a soon-to-be 12 years old son who's an authority on Who too! He even has a full size Tardis complete with flashing blue light, courtesy of his clever grandad, in his bedroom! Shame it's not real because then he could live inside it and we'd have more space to manouever around his room! It wouldn't be so bad if he'd put the blow-up Dalek inside it to save floor space but that offends his sensibilities apparently! Daleks in his Tardis? Never!!

Anyhow, good to meet you, VioletLady!

DS has a Target Books poster featuring and signed by Tom Baker as Doctor Who. My cousin got it some years ago at a book signing so, disappointingly for DS, it says "To Karen, Tom Baker". Still, a Tom Baker signature is a Tom Baker signature!

Hi Captivated!!

Where do you live, thereabouts? ;)

The full size tardis in your son's room sounds AMAZING!!!! :swoon: Grandads are so useful for that sort of thing...

And WOW!!!! I got a Tardis!!!! John was so kind and blessed me with one yesterday. I feel so lucky to be a part of CF.

God bless...

Love and hugs from V. L.

Hello again VL:wave:

We live in Lancashire, about 10 miles from Preston. I originally come from Southport so haven't moved far! How about you?

The Tardis in your character looks great; I debated having one but the shelves of books are still my first choice!! I wouldn't mind a real Tardis though, and in another life (if I wasn't happily married!), a real Doctor to go with it!

I hope you enjoy your time at CF.
