Obi-wan is also one of my favorite characters! I think Ewan McGregor was a great choice for Episodes I, II and III. His manner and speech remind me of Sir Alec Guinness.

I really wanted to see Jonathan Jackson play Anakin. (He was the original Lucky Spencer from General Hospital.) I think he definitely wouldn't done a great job.
