I've been debating going with white tattooing, mainly because i want to cover up the scars on my arms, but I want something thats subtle

I've heard it's more painful to get an all white tattoo, because it takes more ink to actually look white. I think I'd be content with a tone closer to 'flesh' than actual white.

Hi all,
I have 10 tattoos spread out all over my body. I got my first one back in 1977. I only have 2 that are visible with a shirt on. I am going to get another one this year. My mom died last April and I want to get her initials somewhere. My wife got here first tattoo this year. She got a dragonfly on her foot. Her best friend died last year and she had a dragonfly on her foot so
her and another close friend each got a dragonfly in rememberance. She is talking about getting another. Remember: Tattos are like lays potatoe chips you cannot just get one.

I have a tattoo on my wrist for my dad, who sadly passed away 12 years ago. I want more tattoos (but not too many). I would like to have them on less-obvious parts of my body, those that are usually covered by clothing. I'd like to have something Christian, something symbolic for my love of Jesus. I need some ideas. This thread has been helpful.

I have 3 tattoos. A smiley face on my right arm that says "Smile Jesus loves you" around it, a bouquet of heart balloons that have my kids' names in them on my left arm and a small flower by my left ankle. My husband has hundreds of tattoos. some of them he did himself. He has a picture of Jesus on the back of his head and a scripture verse on his throat.

I have 2 tattoos. I think it is hilarious when people say that you are sinning if you get a tattoo quoting Leviticus.

Do they not know that nine verses earlier in the same chapter (Leviticus 19:19) the people of Israel were also commanded to avoid mixing fibers in garments:

Nor shall a garment of mixed linen and wool come upon you.

If someone chose to consider a tattoo sinful, then they would have to toss all their cotton/polyester clothing too!

I'm pondering a neck piece, a descending dove with a "shin" inside the shape of it's body with an olive branch in it's mouth.

i have 7, just added three yesterday to start my leg piece. it's so addictive, i cant wait till it's done so i can get started somewhere else too.

the ones i got before i started my leg were all in sensitive areas so im glad to get some easier one's done now, it's not so bad.

Sadly the only ink I have at the moment is not a christian one...I was a huge fan of a certain band for a long time, so as soon as I turned 18 I got a hatchetman tattooed on my chest. Bad idea. In a month or two I'm getting it covered up with a design that looks like my skin is ripped open, my ribs are broken, and there is a cross burned into my heart. Then I have about 10 other designs I plan to get in the next 12 or 18 months, but first I have to get this one covered with a a good design.

I deff. want to see that one!


Well I cant get any untill October
but i already have my first 2 planned out

1. a sparrow and a lily, with a banner reading "tomorrow will worry about itself" [matthew 6:25-34]

2. Either the tree and the boy from the giving tree or just the boy, on my foot, for both my grandparents as well as everyone in my life who have given any part of themselves to make me who i am.

and i def. plan on many more

I have a compass rose on my left arm. If you are not familiar with these, they are found on nautical charts (I'm a mariner by trade) and they enable sailors to compensate for magnetic variations/deviations. With out the compass rose a nautical chart would be fairly worthless and sailors would never get home. This symbolizes the things that keep me sailing in the right direction. When I get home (currently I'm on the boat in Brazil) I am going to have a cross superimposed behind and to the side. When I get 50 posts I'll put up a picture.

i have 3 tattoos one is Japanese symbol meaning dragon on my left upper arm
one ying and yang on my right upper arm
and one on my wrist of a pentagram( i got it before i was Christan)
and thinking about getting some more soon
